Perhaps being a hedonist you are more incline to devout everygoodthingness?

Devoutness and sensualism is a fine pairing in my books!!!

Ever get to noticing how weird the news is these days? If it weren't so late and I didn't have to work tomorrow I might just have to pound a few down.

    Good night!

Hell yeah I've noticed - it's gone from the actual reporting of news (dammit I miss you, Mr. Cronkite!) to entertainment and opinions and biases. Slice & dice to suit your agenda! (and make sure to include Twitter and Facebook shit in the newscast - feeds the egos of the viewers)

Irritating, and a bit frightening too.

I may need to do some pounding later on myself. It IS hump day, after all 8-)

The lounge car- my favorite place this Sunday morning. My showing at the Sac. book fair bombed yesterday and the cat scratched me just under my left eye in the middle of the night while I was sleeping (I think she was just having a little fun!) I could use something to "warm up" my coffee this morning!

Aww...is this the new kitty? Sorry about the scratch and the show. Good day to lick your wounds :P

I got head-butted awake yesterday morning by George...not like getting scratched but still a bit of a startle. Good thing he's such a cute little fucker.

    Happy Sunday!

Head butting is fun! Yes, she's cute as the dickens. We named her Annie after the Canned Heat song, "Amphetamine Annie". For the same reason, we thought about calling her "Bottle Rocket" or "Zippy".

"Dog" would have worked too because she begs for food at the dinner table and likes to lick plates clean and licks hands and face. But last night is was "Little Shit" due to the face scratch.

    Hope Annie is settling well!!!

Coming here for a bit of sanity....

Wishing I was a plumber, heating engineer and electrician all in one! Why do thing have to go wrong all in one go? Sorting out the boiler to start (hopefully!).

A drink after that maybe :D

I read this part a la Wishlist

( probably one of my favorite versions aside from that on SVT - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAdH2PmJI2s )

Here's to (much-needed) sanity, getting the wrongs righted, and a strong yet soothing libation!

Whoa!! Been a while since anyone has graced the Lounge Car with their presence! Well... in search of a bit of sanity, I shall this evening!

Hope all is well with everyone and I think I will have a Pastis for an aperitif. I know... a real summer and sunshine drink but I sort of feel like it today. It has been a beautiful sunshiny day (even if waaaaaaaaaaaay to cold for the season) and, sitting in my living room with the sun beaming through the windows, it has actually been very warm and made me think of holidays.

    So here goes! Cheers!

I just finished running a 10 miler this morning and will be partaking in a few beers to celebrate. Hope you all have a very lovely evening. It is 70 and the sun is shining here in KY and I will be enjoying this beautiful day and hope you all do the same!
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

Ten miles? Good god - I shall put myself in the sloth category now

Actually, I over-exerted my back yesterday, so taking it slow this overcast and breezy morning. Bit of laundry and household stuff, otherwise, a nice n lazy Sunday.

Hope you all are having a good one!

Aw man...I just read that Jonathan Winters died.

I'm gonna have to search out some of his work this weekend.

RIP, you funny SOB! Will give him several toasts this evening.

    Hi guys....

A bit less stressful today

While you're just sitting there having a drink and chatting, and since kitties have turned up here, why don't you go name a kitten... ;)

    viewtopic.php?f=14&t=207187

Chadwick - does getting along automatically mean 'behave'?? ;)

Apparently, the royal "we" need it sometimes. So why not?
