Just busy, busy, busy. Life sometimes gets in the way of posting. But I'm getting ready for 8 shows coming up so that can only be good.

Holy crap! Nice rocking. I got Iron Maiden, Wolfmother, and DMB on the horizon. Who you got?

And here's another fun one for you, Hedo and Fan:

How did you find the DB Live in Austin Tx show online, Thirty? I haven't been able to and I've been wanting to post bits of it. I've got the DVD and CD for this one, too. I particularly like that version of Nothin But Flowers but it's all good.

And who have I got coming up? PJ, from Philly 1 through Toronto 2, minus MSG 1 unless I cry uncle and buy from a scalper site, plus Wrigley.

    Wow.

    Just wow, man.

I'm in Kauai at the moment so I'm definitely not hard done by... but I'm envious.

I wouldn't mind being in Kauai right now, but I'll be honest that I wouldn't trade my upcoming PJ trip for anything.

I just looked at the 10C top 10 rocker poll.

    You're number 3!

    I think I'm 23,422.

    Terrible.

Thirty, that last one is among my favorites.

    Enjoy your time in heaven!

And anyone celebrating Good Friday or Easter, may it be a nice one.

My husband ate leftover steak for lunch and, I quote, "so wrong, but it feels so right!"

Dude's not religious but his mom was. I told him to just fucking enjoy and know your soul is clear.

Never been much of a Stipe Fan, but that was fabulous. Happy Easter Hedo, things starts to get real fun around Chicago once Easter hits due to warmer weather on the way

  • A little boozed and missing some friends tonight. Some known personally and others known through the gifts they shared. I selfishly wish they all had it in them to really change.

Band itself aside, he was such beauty to me. I always use the term "pure" for Hoon since not much else seems to fit.

Sorry for your missing loved ones, WYTM, no matter if actually known in life or not.

Here's some happy Shannon for you. Short and oh so sweet :)

(never mind the cranky bassist, and check out that gorgeous smile at the end)

Excellent! I will assume the bass player was just deeply concentrating. I've been told I sometimes look pissed when focusing. Nope, not pissed, it's just my face!

Then, you have what might be the prettiest song ever written.

Me and my sweetheart - took his chances on a big jet plane...and look where he landed! With a good woman, if I do say myself :)

Your guys' story and my Robert Plant concert story if we ever sit across from each other with a beer in our hands (well... me a beer... you some sort of girlie drink lol!).

Your story will be better than mine.

I prefer That's The Way myself, same vibe but a little more subtle with the lyrics. Earl's Court is probably top 3 of all-time greatest concert sets that's been preserved through recording.

"And yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers,
But all that lives is born to die.
And so I say to you that nothing really matters,
And all you do is stand and cry.

I don't know what to say about it,
When all your ears have turned away,
But now's the time to look and look again at what you see,
Is that the way it ought to stay?"

Earl's Court = excellent all around.

Thirty, one of these days! Would love to hear that story.

...though I'd likely be having a Scotch, neat :)

Rickles rules! I love that guy. One of the funniest, coolest people on earth!
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.
