We're saying good-bye to the Integra today (hopefully, CarMax gives us a decent deal).

A bit reminiscent of the 20-years-from-now thread, this takes me back to the era of getting her, more than 18 years ago. All that was happening at that time, the sweet and the awful. Didn't even know my husband existed!

I was in my 30's then, and now year 50 is on the horizon (welcomed, too; had no idea I'd be so grateful for that).

I don't know...on the one hand it makes me sad to bid farewell yet on the other, it's time. And we have a new beauty.

(Jesus - all of this over a fucking car =) )

I´m not sure if this beautiful heartfelt music will find some friends here...
But I really love it and maybe you like it too...
so please give it a try until the end...close your eyes and play it loud...

Listened to some of this last evening and liked (plus the blue hue adds another layer to the visual). Will definitely revisit this. Thank you!

Nothing like a Sunday morning with the Young/Old Man. What sweet and calming energy (rolling home to me).

Yessir congrats! My life has certainly changed, but perhaps not as much as I expected. My priorities haven't changed much, instead of endeavoring to experience life at it's fullest, I now do the same but with the addition of making his life full and having him around to share our fullness.
He's my little Simon Gumby and we are gonna be a force to be reckoned with :bee:

I work close to the Troubadour (old-time LA music club) and cutting through the alley on my way back from lunch, I swear I saw Uncle Neil outside having a smoke. Hat, hair, height, facial expression, belly pooch - total him but who knows.

Turns out the venue is dark tonight, filming happening there the next couple days, and Neil's about to kick off a tour with Willie Nelson's sons (and it's 4/20?!).

Can't say for sure it was him but the prospect makes me SMILE!

Haha...I'm so not LA yet I'm a native!

Really, I don't get it either, rr - sometimes it just comes together and it's not mine to question but simply enjoy :)

(and the other thread getting closed was, I believe, due to the OP's request)

Vincent Cavanaugh, singer of the band said in an interview what Thom Yorke meantioned about their sort of music:
    `I don´t think they`re sad songs, to me they´re joyful´

Last week, I married a woman to whom I first spoke here on A Moving Train back in 2003. That's proof that you can't be neutral about these things. :-)

Many congrats from here! Care to shine a light on who she is?

I married the man I first spoke to on the PJ Sony BBS in 1999; we made it official less than a couple years ago.

Just love these stories (smiling as I type this) - please share yours if you're so inclined.

kce, I just saw the bottom portion of your post - love that! I think it's what we take, breathe in and absorb, from what we're given, whether music, voice, people, life.

    Thanks :)

Here's to the lounge car making it's 100th loop around the track.

    Cheers, all!

I would LOVE to see the Kid live! Foreigner, not so much - though Double Vision (the album) is entwined with my early teens.
