In fairness there is also about 14000 more people in attendance in Philly than the Fenway game.

Not sure what your point is. The Bruins fans could barely match the volume of the Flyers fans in that game.

I would have to question your hearing ability anyhow since you said you couldn't hear the anthem being booed at the beginning of the game. :P

Could have been Ranger fans for all I know but I heard it. If you have the rewind feature on your cable box rewind it and listen, it's there. Again, it could have been Ranger fans doing it but then again it would more likely be the trashy uneducated Flyer's fans. :P

disagree , thats kinda generalizing as well.
Ranger fans have been listening and respectiing the canadian anthem for 86 years now?
they didnt have a choice as part of the original 6 ; we're used to it.

Well someone was doing the booing. Since I don't know who was all I can say was that there were fans booing. I don't really care what fans they were, it's just truly classless.[/quote]

    we agree there.

ranger fans should try winning a playoff series before they start pounding their chests

I will say both cities measure their team's success based on winning championships not based on how far they may or may not go in the playoffs. That being said...when was the last Flyers Cup win?

    ha, OK.

who has more cups in the last 40 years??

I know today was the rangers biggest win in almost 20 years, so it's understandable that you guys are excited. Enjoy it...just remember that it's January

:lol: I haven't been a real Rangers fan or followed them that closely in a long time, probably since 2000 or so, so I don't really have room to say anything. I just find it amusing. That said, if my math is correct, 94 is more recent than 75. (Edit: DS beat me to that one)

    Alright, I'm done.

I think you proved my point on how mute the past is when it comes to sports. Does it matter about Championships of the past or playoff history in the past?

All I know is it matters right now about what a team is doing and the Rangers just came into Philly and beat a team from two goals down in their hometown in the showcase game of the fucking year for the NHL.

well, since the rangers don't have much playoff history in the last 20 years I'm not sure what your point is.

rangers have a good team. today is just another regular season game though. we will see if they can do anything in the playoffs this year. for once

rangers fans are funny. It's obviously difficult to keep things in perspective when your team has sucked for 20 years
