    so 4 months later,it still sucks.

    i can tolerate excel with my custom tool bar, but damn, what a pita it is for anything print related.

    and windows explorer....fuck me. gotta be a way that allows you to click on a folder and not have it open a new window. :roll:

    try this:

    in windows explorer
    from the menu Tools> Folder Options> General tab> Browse folders > Open each folder in the same window (first radio button)


    step #5 (optional) - throw pc at closed window

    actually, the computer itself is pretty nice.

    optiplex 390
    i5 dual 2.5ghz processor
    3 gigs of ram

    it's pretty dam fast. it can blow thru my calculations in less than in 30 seconds, where as my old computer took several minutes

    ha. I have to say mine is decent too, had it for about 6 months and I like it. it's the first time I've had a work pc that is better than my home pc.

    that folder thing works on mine, not sure what your issue is

    i dunno. if i click the little icon on the left side of the expolorere window, it will expand, but if i click on the folder on the right side, it always opens a new window. if i forget about that, i end up with 10 windows open. :fp:
