I was saying that it was 8500 in total.... not excluding the floor, but saw someone had already pointed it out...

I tried to delete my post and ended up duplicating it, so edited them both out ;)

y la banda de Guille... cuando toca?
  • Listened to the boot quite a few times now and it's brought back a lot of the show, and highlighted some really good moments which didn't seem that good at the time......Leash for example, i found a little underwhelming on the night but on the boot it sounds great.

Does Eddie really sing "Dublin souls unite....." in the first line?

  • Okay, been on holidays so I haven't had time to report my 2 Eddie sightings.
On the Tuesday night, I met Eddie in the Clarence Hotel but I didn't annoy him, I just said hello. He was having a Miller I think with some other guy and on the Wednesday night after the show he was in Isolde's Tower in Temple Bar. I figur e the guys must have staying at the Clarence. I am also told that they had tables booked in Lillie's Bordello but didn't show.
Also, a friend of mine sold a copy of The Irish Times, USA Today and a Diet Cola to Mike in his shop on Camden Street and thinks the great man went into Whelan's after.

Yeah, she's WAY off! I'm fairly sure the boots are set-up sound wise so that it plays as you'd see it. So if I had to guess, she'd be over towards Mike's side, but not far enough over to be not picked up by the mic's (unless they have hidden/small mic's pointed toward the crowd???)

I also concluded that's she part of the group of people who chant with the thickest country accents possible "Pearl Jam! Pearl Jam! Pearl Jam!" at one point and the "Oi, oi, oi" chant that happens every now and again.

I have possibly thought too much about this, but Jesus, she's so very out of tune.
Put the garbage in the garbage can... I can't stress that enough.

you're all wrong... its Matt Cameron... shit isnt he!!! :)

also... it might have been Phil Lynott's mother getting her own back as she knew the boys were gonna fuck up her sons signature tune ;)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Oh oh oh oh that Pearl Jam chant I think was coming from the girls behind me  . Well I remember they were chanting 'pearl jam' during Paddy Casey til I told them to leave him alone (which surprisingly they did :o ) so I'm pretty sure they chanted it later too.

Indeed it is. I know a guy who works there who is a complete homophobic and refuses to believe it's a gay bar. Its nice to wind him up because he's an arsehole.

They do have mics pointed at the crowd there was at least two that I saw. One next to mike (where I was standing) and one over at stones end. You can definatley see the one at mikes side in some of the photos I took and just about make out stones on a few of the others ;)
