Manchester MEN is the largest indoor arena in Europe with a capacity of 21,000
On a related note : Manchester Evening News will end its thirteen-year naming sponsorship at the end of 2011, when the venue will revert to the name of Manchester Arena , as a new sponsor naming partner is sought.

99% decided on Amsterdam now, looked at some pics of Ziggo Dome and it looks great plus, it's probably closer to me than Manchester and roughly the same expense
Great organisation so far! All hotels booked: Amsterdam/Werchter/Arras/Berlin
Now the only thing I'm scared of is the pre-sale for Amsterdam/Berlin...really hope that scoring the tickets will be easy! :!: :!: :!:

I caved and got a flight to Amsterdam. one more show I'll definitely be at.
do you think I should wait with buying my manchester flight? in case a second show is announced?
any kind of hotel recommendations for amsterdam & scandinavia are also greatly appreciated!
Major dilemma (in the PJ world, not the real world lol). I am coming from Canada and I figured that if I go to Europe I want to get in as many shows as possible. So the dates for Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen seemed like an excellent fit and I would only have to take 5 days off work and i would get to see countries I have never visited.
I found a $1010 (CAD) flight into to Stockholm and return from Copenhagen...but then I did the conversion for the concert tix and whoa - much more expensive at these locations, and generally just more expensive places to visit (accommodations/food/BEER).
I want to be able to do this for less than $2500 (CAD). I am sure they will be touring NA in the fall and I want to have some money for that and also need to keep some of my vacation days for that too.
So, realistically speaking, what is the cost per day that you would need to budget for visits to Sweden/Norway/Denmark? I did some fact checking online and I came up with $150 CAD per day in Sweden & Norway and $165 per day in Denmark. But in the past i have found that what I read on the internet doesn't always work in the real world - does anyone have any indication of what to budget per day for meals etc (and if it is in the native currency that is fine, I can convert it).
Sorry if this was previously discussed, so many pages on this thread!! Thank you for your insight.
If you are into the hostel thing, Bulldog is a good one. Its in the red light area but this is v safe as lots of tourist about with safe mix of police.
If not, the Ibis hotel is right near Central Station

The Mrs and I have decided to go to Amsterdam for the week, and catch the show while we're there.
So, I'm on the hunt for good hotels. I found a package deal on TravelRepublic, return flights from Liverpool and 6 nights at the Campanile Amsterdam Hotel and it comes to £250 each which isn't bad.
It's a 3-star hotel, and according to Google Maps its a 15-minute drive from the airport and a 15-minute drive from the Ziggo Dome. Has anyone heard of it?
Any other recommendations? It sounds like LOADS of people will be trying for Amsterdam, that makes me nervous!
