As much as I'd love it, I just can't see a Manchester show happening since they were here 18 months ago. The Scots and Welsh have waited nearly 12 years.

My membership had expired on the 19th of Nov, but due to some technicality I was told I couldn't renew until the new year, after reading this thread I got in a panic and phoned them up. The guy told me that they put up the 2012 memberships last night, so I could now renew. He would neither confirm or deny there was a European tour. I asked him if there was a hypothetical European tour announced in the next few days / weeks, if I renewed now, would I be good for the access to attempt to buy tickets? He said the "announcement said I needed to be a member by the 5th" (I can find no evidence of an announcement on the site), but as I was still in my 3 month grace period, I should be good if I renewed now <-- hope he was right, otherwise I think I might break down.

Last time, it was staggered at 1hr intervals per show, starting i think about 4pm GMT. Think it was about the same for the 2006 tour, although lots went on sale at the same time

I've bought them a few times, but have taken a total mind blank.

Cheers mate. I thought it was something like that, but i wasn't sure.

If they do only play Manchester in England lets hope its at Heaton Park or one of the stadiums/Lancashire Cricket - Stone Roses play Heaton and Bruce Springsteen playing City of Manchester both nextsummer in June/July time - Heaton Park would be awesome - 80,000-90000 capacity!!!!!!!!!
Heaton Park is always a nightmare getting out. Etihad Stadium is a 10 minute walk from my flat.... I vote for the Etihad :P

The waiting is killing me. Mainly because of all the rumored tour dates that have surfaced.
Cannot decide on any "hypothetical" show ;)

It's a shame there will be no Polish date. I blame football

They should be able to co-exist. Pearl Jam played Sweden in '92 the day before the UEFA euro-final :)

I need to know if it is time for Sweden again. This is killing me!

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Never really understood the need of 10C to make announcements look like "survivor" ...

Pretty much arrogant of them no ?

Well we have the Europe part figured out. Does the US announcement come now or in 2 months?

Many people find it handy to be reminded they need to have their account intact by a certain time. There would only be more whining if they didn't say anything at all.

    No.

I think that's a pretty unfair judgment. If the unconfirmed dates are anything to go by, there are still some dates that haven't been finalised, like Amsterdam. After the San José debacle, I think they want to be certain before they announce, but still need to tell us to get our house in order in plenty of time. I don't see anything arrogant about that.

No point them announcing until the i s dotted and t s are crossed.

Same shit happens every tour, they set a deadline for 10C members and then we bitch and moan until the announcement

All the 10C said was to have your membership and addresses updated by December 5. They're just giving people who aren't up-to-date an opportunity to get their shit together. They're not stringing anyone along.

Today, tomorrow or next week, the announcement is still coming 6-7 months in advance.
