I just got back to nyc after 12 beautiful days in oahu and maui. I'm tempted to call my job and quit to work on a pineapple plantation. I can be the official taste tester! I'm 2 shades darker and a lot happier now.
Seriously, the show was a blast and was exactly what I needed after this year. My uncle passed away in May, the night before Albany, and since then my year has had a bit of a dark cloud over it. Thank you Pearl Jam and my friends for letting me relax and enjoy life.
The weirdest moment of my trip occured in Maui, when a big green fruit fell from the tree above and almost hit Solat13 in his head. We brought the mystery fruit back to our hotel and cracked it open a few days later. It was an avocado. Looks absolutely nothing like the avocados I find here.

Check out the avocados in Florida. They're hug too. I'm sure you'll find some like the one you dodged in Hawaii.

WHAT A SHOW............. the guys were having such a great time.... we were all having such a great time... it was magic.
Highlights for me were opening with OCEANS!!!!

We went to the North Shore on Monday to look for you but no luck.
We did however see the pipeline big wave surfers... HOLY SHIT these waves are HUGE!!! Im from NJ and we have little crappy waves that break right at the shore... unreal.
Blaidsdell show far SURPASSED the Aloha stadium but I will remember the later because i finally got to meet Eddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our friends hooked us up with hospitality passes for the U2 side...
we went up for a drink and I noticed all of the celeb's coming down the tunnel where the room was, so after U2 took the stage we hung out by the entrance to the tunnel.... I got to shake hands and say hi to everyone but Stoney.. who was probably icing his ass in his room!!!!!
All of a sudden I see Pete.... Eddie's right behind him.... Pete's not having any of it.. he pts his arm up (He's huge) Then I pick up my banner and Eddie recognizes me!!!!! He grabs my hand and gives me a hug and holds up the other side of the banner so we could get a shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UNREAL!!!!!
Well... Im "Leaving Here" in a little bit, so I have to go shower for my awful 10 hr plane ride home.

I was so regretful that i didn't get a chance to know you better. I could just tell in that one minute that you were a good person. Weird? First impressions are strange. the improv/ukelele song was "you're true". he said it was a song he had never tried before, but he did play it at the wiltern on the uke a couple years ago.
such an awesome show, may have been the best i've ever seen. after "inside job" ed told the crowd that mike had written that song while on the islands and mike had to tell him, "no it was the at the borgata". then ed said, "mike doesn't really remember where he wrote that..." funny shit.
i think the cake was the best :P i was able to get my hands on 3 of the candles from the floor also the fact that he was pouring drinks for ppl was mind blowing to be that lucky!!!!! i wish i got the harmonica aswell im going to post my video soon of the entire show ANTICIPA........TION

What a great show, in a perfect paradise. Highlights for me were "Hawaii '78," beautiful and haunting with Eddie's vocals and, yes, eventhough I had to hear YL, once again as the closer, getting to hear Mike's guitar and Ed's vocals on "Little Wing," added on.
A long, ROCKIN' show, which, as usual, took us through all the ranges of emotions during those hours, all personal. Seeing U2 the following Saturday, I could not help but compare the differences in the shows. My 3 favorite bands, in order, are Pearl Jam, Black Crowes, and U2. It was my 1st U2 show. It was so clear that Pearl Jam says it all in the lyrics and music. U2, puts on the huge stadium show, with theatrics, lights, electronics, signs, etc. Nice to experience, once, but just made me further appreciate that PJ has done it their way, all along, and the message is loud and clear, right there in the music and lyrics.

What a great show, in a perfect paradise. Highlights for me were "Hawaii '78," beautiful and haunting with Eddie's vocals and, yes, eventhough I had to hear YL, once again as the closer, getting to hear Mike's guitar and Ed's vocals on "Little Wing," added on.
A long, ROCKIN' show, which, as usual, took us through all the ranges of emotions during those hours, all personal. Seeing U2 the following Saturday, I could not help but compare the differences in the shows. My 3 favorite bands, in order, are Pearl Jam, Black Crowes, and U2. It was my 1st U2 show. It was so clear that Pearl Jam says it all in the lyrics and music. U2, puts on the huge stadium show, with theatrics, lights, electronics, signs, etc. Nice to experience, once, but just made me further appreciate that PJ has done it their way, all along, and the message is loud and clear, right there in the music and lyrics.

From my first show in Hawaii when they opened for RHCP to upcoming 2016 MSG and Wrigley. Seen them in every continent except Africa and Antarctica.
