I can also confirm the sweeper was NOT Ed. Height was the biggest giveaway. Clothing also did not match. Kind of a weird moment actually. Came out before the show in SB (where there is no stage curtain) - everyone kinda ignored it.0

.... along wit her came 2 comp ticket each night to see EV... :-)
I mean how does Charlize Theron get a row of 8 tickets to see the show in SB??? :-) Cause they are handed to her! Cause she's famous... Sad but trueAustin - 9/16/95

Yeah we went around to the other side, and there was like 1 fan and some paparazzi. The paparazzi kept telling us to go around to the other side because that's where everyone was waiting and where Ed would come out.
Fuck that how are we going to meet him if there are already 100 people there. So we waited there and Ben Harper came out and signed some stuff and so did Liam. They were both nice as hell."There was a band playing in my head, and I felt like getting high"0 -
rob52575 wrote:I came in from Texas and waited Sunday night...didn't notice TMZ folks but did see what seemed to be ebayers. That was probably why Ed was carried out on the shoulder of the big guy. Can't blame him but I was disappointed...I wanted to ask him what he thought about the Sonics leaving Seattle...somebody please ask him...also, if that douchebag know-it-all who was shoving the girl on the bike racks, is reading, dude get a fucking life. You made such an issue about a couple of inches and somebody touching you. Geez, you are standing in a crowd. You are going to get touched. If you had shoved that girl one more time, I was personally going to throw your ass to the curb. I'm from Texas and we don't treat ladies like that. Maybe in LA, but you shouldn't do that ANYWHERE! Loser.[/QUOT
When I read shit like this, it makes me happy I moved out of that disgusting city. Total alternate reality out there in LALA land. No thanks.0 -
I was standing next to a guy in line and he had some connections through other then ticket master or the venue tickets and he said he tried every thing and could not get a ticket. He said that Eddie closed off tickets that way and that it was geared more towrds the fans-for sure.
Ok so I wanted to share my story with you all. I was one of you that stood in line for LA 2 and I was there and felt that disheartening point when they closed the window and every one was looking at each other with pale faces. Stubborn as mules, I and some others decided we would stay. Slowly people continued to give up; fall away. Hope seemed to be growing even dimmer as the guys with the ladder came and letters of Eddie Vedder's name were dropping to the ground. Still two other ladies and myself waited it out. Props continued to fall away and at the end, it was myself and another girl. Finally, an Angel of Mercy (who worked there) brang us out some used internet tickets.
We got in!
My favorite part was the dark chocolate from the fundraiser. From the concert, singing to Grandma Margaret, seeing Jack Irons and Ben Harper.
And just sim[ply...getting IN. I felt honored to be there. It was heaven on earth.*KRISTAL*XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

I drove solo from El Paso, Texas just for the Sunday show and it was soooo worth it.
Everything that's been said about the set/show is quite true. I have my own Stewart Copeland story. After Liam Finn's set I was standing up and noticed Jack Irons when a gray-haired gentleman a few rows in front of me blocked my view to sit down.
The gentleman - Copeland - noticed my Police T-shirt and did a funny double take as if it were the first time he'd seen a Police shirt. A few minutes later I asked him to sign my program which he graciously did. Hey, I'm from outta town so I wasn't gonna play it cool.
I missed getting Jack to sign the program though. Oh well. It was an awesome show. Now I need to catch up on my sleep.0 -
Goodfella1111 wrote:that Ed signed in every city leading up to LA after the shows? Because in LA he did a handshake to 5 people night 1 and had Sniper carry him out over his shoulder night 2.
just wonderin...
and, yes, Tom "Yankee Fan" Brady was in attendance, on the floor, with Giselle Bundchen
Anyone figure out who gave Ed the Golden Globe from Night 1 yet? The same guy left with Casey Affleck after the night 2 show...0 -
....so here is a quick rundown
walked into Wiltern on Saturaday night quickly stopped by Rick (ticketing mgr.) upgraded to front row in front of Eddie. I'm SHOCKED! my g/f started crying!
shook Ed's hand after first encore
up against stage for Hard Sun....it felt like 1991 all over again...
At the end of the song Eddie leaned over and gave me his guitar pick as he said, " this is for you, man" ... I stood there frozen...I'm still shocked four days later!!
Nice to meet the other two couples that got upgraded to the front as well
Thanks Rick

ha!! all i want to say is....that's awesome! getting mike rocks for you guys in berkeley!!!!!!!!!
I'm not complaining...eye contact with eddie during the encore, while i was dead center leaning on the stage is ooooooooookkkkkkk with me!Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)
Whatever you are, be a good one --Lincoln0 -
both shows were great. had 10c seats both nights. 4th row stage right on night 1, a few rows back on first level the next. could not have been more pleased. pre-party was cool although we didnt hang too long as the drinks are just too damn expensive in LA, and they wouldnt put PJ on in the bar. how about those $12 beers inside the venue!?!? great theatre though.
hard to tell which show was better. totally different for me as night one had way to many drinks and was rocking out on the floor, night 2 went sober and was back a bit, was great to see Ben Harper and Jack Irons out there to mix it up a bit. arc was a highlight both nights, i didn't expect to enjoy it so much, way better live than i would've guessed
waited for Ed at the end of night two, and as many have mentioned he didn't grace us with any autographs or even a nod for that matter. would be lying to say i wasn't disappointed in his totally lame (but hilarious) move of acting like he was passed out and having his body guard carry him onto his bus for a quick get away. there was too many people waiting, at least 50-75, would've taken him forever if he stopped...but hell at least wave and say thanks!!! either way was funny to see him pulling such a stunt, i'm sure he's got a whole slew of get away plans like that
now if only the ACL rumor would've came true...no clue when i'll see EV/PJ again. praying they announce another leg after the june dates, but not thinking it's likely now0
