I've been listening to audience recordings of PJ20 for the last couple of days, and it brought me back instantly ... I really enjoyed the audience atmosphere, people screaming and the tapers talking to eachother when they figured out what song came next
Such a shame that April is approaching fast and we don't have a f5 disaster for the tickets of the year to look forward to ...

I REALLY am hoping for a DVD of this but will be extremely happy when the official boots come out. Official listening (and hopefully viewing) party plans will be made!
I was watching a random YouTube video of Release and you can hear two guys talking and it goes something like this:
Guy#1 – “what’s going on, what’s going on?!?!?” as your hear the opening of Release and the crowd going crazy.
Guy#2 – “you’re about to have your mind blown”
That was the end of the conversation (that I was able to make out), but really is there anything more that needs to be said about Alpine 2011?
Awesome! My mind was totally blown after that first night. I was hoping for Release as an opener...as soon as we heard the first notes, unlost & I gave each other a big hug. The crowd is always amazing at Pearl Jam shows...but this crowd was wonderful

'Breath' had to be the highlight of the weekend for me. I can still hear the entire palce singing "If I knew where it was......". Awesome.
It's funny b/c this is the song that got me thinking it would be cool if they did 2 cuts of the boot. One with a great band/crowd mix. And one with the crowd turned up. I don't know how that would wind up turning out. And, it's not happening anyway. I guess in a lot of ways - that's the audience recordings (but not REALLY).
But, along with the DVD, I hope they are taking great pains to figure out just the right mix to get the impact of this. It really was something else.
