It's funny b/c this is the song that got me thinking it would be cool if they did 2 cuts of the boot. One with a great band/crowd mix. And one with the crowd turned up. I don't know how that would wind up turning out. And, it's not happening anyway. I guess in a lot of ways - that's the audience recordings (but not REALLY).
But, along with the DVD, I hope they are taking great pains to figure out just the right mix to get the impact of this. It really was something else.
I couldn't agree more - a HUGE part of that whole weekend was the crowd participation...just hearing everyone singing along is what really makes it special for me. I really really hope the mix reflects that!
They have to include the crowd for at least songs like Release and Black..and so many others...hearing the crowd singing along will definitely help to recreate the vibe of that amazing weekend
I remember with fondness the crowd absolutely drowning the band out where I was so many times!!
