Also, the betterman thing was unreal. I have seen them play it several times and have about 200+ bootlegs, this was different and special. You really have to hear it to believe it.

Disappointing?! You have obviously been to too many pearl jam shows! Pull your head out of your arse and look at yourself, there are people like myself all over the world that would kill to see any pearl jam songs live again! The closest I get is a cover band doing a pearl jam song once in a blue moon :(

People take these shows for granted too much. Be happy they are still touring and soak it up while you can, because once they call it quits you'll be wishing you could go to any show at all! Appreciate it while they are still around.

Anything from the first set not played/changed?

Porch/Indifference would have been a nice end - I dont know how they thought they'd get them in though...

I am curious, as to why Ed was pissed of. He threw the bottle of wine at the backdrop then ripped that thing off infront of the stage.

it was different then normal they literally had to stop and just watch everyone cheer as loud as they could for 2 minutes or longer it was like when they walk on the stage in the begining but louder and longer and in the middle of a song

The only thing "Betterman" is good for is a bathroom break!!!! They need to retire the song. I am so sick of it.
  • went to Hartford last night and to Mansfield tonight and have to say last night was the better show. I was surprised by this but had a great time at both! Was good to hear Low Light, Hard to Imagine, Faithful but could have lived without seeing Evenflow, Alive, and Why Go for the second night in a row!
  • This was my 5th show of tour. It was a fast heavy show, but pretty paint by numbers.
That being said, it is a brutal building to break curfew in. 10 minutes over you forfeit your entire fee.

It was a fun show. Loud crowd. A comment from Ed that it would be an "endurance test" than get 2:10 is suspect but to be expected here.

I also would have expected a more colorful setlist after hartford, but it really was a greatest hit show.
I love I got Shit and alot of people are psyched for lowlight (YAWWWN)

but at least a once came out of it.
As for Monday my guess would be 2:10 again with a set more like MSG II.

Both NY shows were killer, but if you are a Neil Young fan...Hartford has stolen the tour. Also I would have liked Immortality to make a 2nd appearance, but not to be.

Bummer about Porch and Indifference, 8 minutes worth of music that would have made a difference between a solid B and a A show!!!!

I was shocked that they actually cut Ed off what assholes. I saw Dave on Wednesday night at the exact same place and they caught to play at until 11: 20/30 somewhere around there. I hope Pearl Jam plays longer on Monday. My opinion on it, I know Pearl Jam wanted to play longer so it is not their fault, but if the venue doesn't accommodate your act, then don't play it. Even though I did enjoy the show, I feel selfish for being a little let down.

eddie was not too happy tonight. hurled his bottle against the backdrop. my take was that he was having issues with some of the speakers on stage. kept pointing at different areas on the stage and a technician kept running out to try to help. at one point ed kinda shooed him away. he was not too happy.

the betterman moment that has been mentioned was special. a had to be there type deal.

    see ya'll monday.

Yes exactly. Not only was it amazing, but it was really funny. We were cracking up (I was near the front, but I'll write about that tomorrow) and so was Ed. About 3 times he took a deep breath to go into the oh-oh-ohhhhhhh part, and then stopped because the crowd was so loud. It just took on a life of it was on and was very cool. I need to go try to get 5 hours of sleep before leaving tomorrow.

There's a rare example of an Ed cross-out in the right direction.

Amen. This is generally the worst song they play each night. I don't know why people cheer for this. This is definitely the worst song in the PJ catalog
