I missed that bottle by one fucking row and then the security guard took it...otherwise that bottle was mine!!! LOL, that was awesome!
  • well that just rocked my socks. i mean, there's not a person out there who can complain.

    thanks PJ.

While i agree that was funny...... i hardly think that was the best part of the show.

Seeing Crown of Thorns for the first time was a mind-blowing experience.

Just in from the show. Absofuckinglutely off the hook. Up in two 4 hours for trip to Chi-town so I'll keep it short. Bleed For Me is by The Dead Kennedy's if I'm not mistaken. My experience ,33 shows worth, has been that some in the crowd have always been casual give me the hits types.I thought the Wacho Center rocked .

Last, I'm not sure if it's been posted, but WYSP 94.1 is going to play the entire download of the Philly show at 10:15 pm Tuesday night.I would think the station streams live on the net.Heard the re-broadcast advert 3 times tonight.

Will post more later, but ....

    WOW!!!!

    What a great show!!!

So many moments to remember ...

Going over to hug Colorsblend when she finally heard Hard to Imagine.

Seeing Ed right in front of me when shoetheless gave him the hat she bought him earlier that day and getting a pick from him.

Being front row in front of Stone and just seeing how close the band was to me and realizing that tonight was a once in a lifetime experience that may never happen again.

The incredible setlist ... Wash, Alone, HTI, Sad, Crown of Thorns, Sonic Reucer ... and the rest it all seems like some sort of blur.

Just seeing the band having such a great time and smiling the whole time and having them wave back to you.

Seeing the crowd going nuts during the "hits"

Meeting my neighbor ... practically (she lives a block from me) and finding out she's been a ten club member since 94 ... now we have so much to reminince over and I may have found a new tour buddy

The incredible tailgate and meeting all sorts of Pearl Jam fans

Seeing Mike wearing the hat referenced earlier at the end and having an incredible night end

Tonight was number 21 and very, very special for me

I hope I can make it till next spring ... :D

I really liked it! I didn't know what the song was but I really liked the sound of it and of course I loved the way Eddie sang it!!!!

Little Sister was great. The song has a special meaning for me though because 10/3 is my late father's birthday, and Elvis to him is like Pearl Jam to me.

I would have never imagined getting to hear an Elvis cover tonight :)

All I have to say is that the 1st encore was unreal!!!! It was so amazing!!! :D The rest of the show was alright too. ;)
  • This show was downright great. And to top it all off, I just walked in the door, and my boot is downloaded already. Fucking awesome. Thanks PJ.
And by the way that crowd was great, i was in Sec 114 to Stone's left, sweet seats, great show.
Where do i go to soothe my head? Guess i'll turn on music instead.

Didn't get enough sleep, so I'm a little dilirious, but what a great show! We the farthest away that we've ever been, but I kept thinking how grateful I was just to have been there. Loved the setlist and great interaction between the band and the crowd. Can't wait for the boot, but for now I'll just bask in the good feeling of seeing yet another amazing show.

  • there were definitely people there who were not into the show and only wanted to hear the "hits". amazingly, i saw people sitting down and talking during around the bend-->harvest moon--->hard to imagine-->crown of thorns.

spectrum was better. state college was better.
    um, no.
  • Wow. That show was for "us". Ament was interviewed by Matt Cord on WMMR and said that they anticipated a lot of fan club so they pulled out the b-sides.

That was a strong set list...feel bad for the "casual" fan that wanted to hear the radio hits.

No, I was there for all of those shows. Philly has always taken a back seat to Boston and New York. Last night was Philadelphia's turn to shine under the spotlight and the band brought down the house. All of the shows the band has played in our area have been tremendous. Last night's would be hard to top in ANY city.

Just got back from the show....Unreal setlist.
Crowd was crazy but not the craziest. Ed teased leash again...he said now we're gonna drop the evolution...bastard! :)

2nd best show for me as a touring fan.

    1. State College
    2. Philly '05
    3. MSG I '03

Icing on tonigihts cake would have been Leash in place of little sister. Speaking of which...right before little sister Eddie said we're gonna tell security to let you guys dance wild to this but be careful...(im thinking Leash finally) then he plays little sister...probably the most lazy laid back song on the setlist...funny guy that Eddie...Still Love him though....Great Night more great memories!

PS- this show was a hell of a lot better than I explained, im just tired.

    hehe...that is funny...~

  • Just gettin home, all i gotta say is WOW... The boys really brought their A game today. Eddie as usual had a little trouble some lyrics, notably missing a verse in green disease and just destroying the middle of do the evolution. highlight of the evening for me had to be Crown Of Thorns, it was just amazing. After that they tried crazy mary but mike was having all sorts of feedback issues or something and then eddie was too freaked out to contuine. it was hilarous, he ended up started it over halfway thru... all in all just an amazing evening and im soooo glad i made the trip

It seems that on this tour, Ed has really "flubbed" up a lot of the songs, it is hilarious, but sometimes frustrating. Oh well, this show seemed like a fitting conclusion...lol, and the set list, wow, amazing, def thought there would be more like this towards the end of the tour. i.e.StJohn's, where I saw my 2 shows.

Ears still ringing a little from last night. I was in the 3rd row of section 201 which was basically high up but w/ good stage view. The sound bounces around a little up there though. I'll tell you this though, "It's hard to complain about anything involving the show last night." AMAZING set list...33 songs deep. Incredible band energy. I was rocking out to everything, particularly: Wash, Sad, Alone, Crow of Thorns, In My Tree. Wanted to hear: I got ID, Off he goes/Low light, Breath, Miracles.....but like I said, no complaints. Hard to Imagine (amazing)....wanted to be close to the stage like I was at Reading, but maybe next summer/fall. I'm glad pearl jam came around.....we needed this badly. This kind of event gives me hope.
    THANK YOU PEARL JAM!

I was seated in Section 114, it was a kick ass time and wish i could relive it again...... Hmmm Philly in 2006, i will certainly be there!

well...i survived...what an amazing show!!! i had a feeling they would come out and play hard last night...the borgata was great but the energy last night was just amazing...alone!!!! in my tree!!! wow!!!!
i was very happy w/my 10c seats, section 5 on the floor! it didnt even matter that i couldnt always see what was going on, the setlist was just sooooo amazing, we just couldnt believe some of the songs they were playing!!!! i could have sworn they were going to appease us and play leash at the very end, especially after RITFW when i saw mike change guitars i knew it wasnt over yet!! oh well next year ill expect it!!! GREAT SHOW!!!
(it was also awesome to meet everyone at the tailgate and put faces to all the names on here!!! all very cool people!)

(my only complaint is the 2 people next to me in 10c seats that made out the whole! entire time! they didnt even pay attention to the show or sing one song, and every time i happen to glance over they were down eachothers throats!!...thankfully they left after the first set and never came back...i just felt bad for all those other 10c members that would have loved to have closer seats to enjoy the show even more, instead those people got them! =(

I want my nieces to be Sleater-Kinney. Also, have you seen pictures of fans at the Beatles concert in New York when they first came out, and the fans were screaming, and crying, and their hands were near their faces. Well, I FELT that way when "Alone" was played, I screamed into my hands like I have never done before, and I felt I was at one of the lucky ones at one of the first North American Beatles concerts photographs. Philadelphia is a place to hold a concert, that's for sure.

What an amazing show!!! (I am a little biased being from Philly) The setlist, the energy from the crowd & the band was awesome. I had seats on the side of the stage and could see better than I expected! Ed was jumping around, he slid across the stage at one point and almost got hit in the head with Mikes guitar, he did this forward roll thing. The entire night was great.
