    ohmyFREAKINGgawd.

this was THE concert for me, guys. the 10club totally hooked me up....17th row, stones side. smirks was 17th row in the middle. closest i have ever been at an east coast pj concert. i bow to the 10club. thankyouthankyoutTHANKYOU!!!!

first before anything starts, sleater kinney comes out and then brings up ed and they sing.... promised land. uh huh, by bruce. kick ASS.

then of course the concert starts and wash, yeah, spin the black circle... i think that they play that 4th song like at every philly concert. which is cool by me cause i love the crap out of that song. sad...totally HAPPY to hear that one . ohmyohmyohmyohmy. ALONE. . yeah. alone. and im thinking was i transported back to the 90s???????? this was the pearljam that i missed. the pearljam before i became a fan. holy shit!!!! i knew at this point that this was more then a concert. before faithful ed said something about playing songs that they dont normally play. then faithful. and i had my hub right next to me. what a great song! the man trilogy. that other song, bleed for me? didnt know that one. but it rawked and i rawked and shit, everyone rawked!!!!

around the bend...didnt know that one either, but that was cool too cause its great to hear a new song. harvest moon. i danced with the hubster during that. it was very sweet. followed by hard to imagine......... the one song that i reallyreally wanted to hear. so beautiful. then i totally lost my brain because they started playing the beginning of crown of thorns, which i never ever had the right to even think they would play. crown of thorns. ed says that this next song is about an insane woman....they bring me back down to earth for a bit during crazy mary. and then someones mike went kerfluie and i thought someone got electrocuted.....and everything stops and ed is freaked out and the teches are all over the stage and ed says it must be either mary, who is pissed that he called her insane, or andy from the last song (which got a huge applause). so ed says that hes too freaked to contine the song, but stone and boom are ready to jam. so ed says if he is gonna continue the song, then we have to start singing because he needs to get back in the mood. we started him from *no l o i t e r i n g allowed... and they continued in the awesomeness of that awesome song with stone/boom then mike/boom. alive was next. every single fist was pumped. every single person was singing. we were alive.

last kiss was sung completely to the folks behind the stage :) before do the evolution, ed says - here is a song called leash . then they played dte. sneaky pearljam!!!!! sonic reducer!!!!! little sister ! wtf!!!! then leaving here. rockin was done with every light on in the venue. and everyone rocked in the free world. it was beautiful. yellow led, same thing with the lights.

the crowd....my hub (his first pj concert - what a first concet!!!) said the band rocked but the crowed rocked every bit as much. we sang every note and cheered as loud as if it was an eagles game.

oh, and ed said repeatedly how much he appreciates PHILLY and how much they love to play here yesssssssssss!!!!!!!!! and of course what a great crowd we were.

thank you pearljam for the concert of my life!!! i totally enjoyed it. it was just what i needed, in so many ways.

huge smile on my face. :D

Amazing show, phenomenal crowd. My first true Philly show and hopefully not my last. An unforgettable night!

Let me first say that the band was awesome and it was a great set-list. The crowd on the other hand left A LOT to be desired. Many "fans" in my section and in the sections around us were totally dead for most of the night other than for the hits. Most of the fans in our section were more interested in Eagles and Flyers chants than they were in the show. I hate to say it but the lack of energy from the crowd did take something away from this show. I saw the band in Toronto 2 weeks ago and this set list was much better than Toronto but the energy in the crowd made all the difference in the world. Another thing was the sound at the Wachovia Center wasn't too great. This show should have been at MSG.

what section were you at? the fans in my section were going nuts!!! i agree about the sound though, the spectrum and the tweeter center are much better for concerts

Un-fucking-believable is all I can say right now! 7th row Center....snuck my digital camera in...got some great shots I'll post later. Unreal show tonight, I cant even put into words how amazing it was.

Thank you to Eddie, Stone, Mike, Jeff, Matt, Boom and the rest of the PJ Family!
  • I just got back to my hotel. That was freakin awesome! Props to Philly from a California boy, the crowd was outstanding, one of the best I've ever seen, and it definitely brought the band up a notch. Did a nice job singing Betterman too.

The band obviously had a great time. For me, Faithfull and Whipping back to back was fantastic. I don't care that much about the rarities since I only see PJ about once every two years, but Wash, Sonic Reducer and Crown of Thorns were very good. Rockin in the Free World (with Carrie on guitar and Janet taking Matt's place part way through) was a blast, but what do I know, I like Sleater-Kinney!

Most of all, thank you 10 club for the fifth row seats. You are the best.

Great show. A lot of "rarer" songs played. Overall, the vibe w/ the crowd and the band reminded me a lot of the 2 MSG shows in '02 with a lot of 10 Club people there.

Little Sister... Before Bonham's death there was a benefit album called Live for the people of Kampuchea. A collection of rock bands. Was released on Vinyl and CD back in the day. Robert Plant with a band called Rockpile (Dave Edmunds - Guitar, Nick Lowe - Bass, Vocals, Billy Bremner - Guitars, Vocals
Terry Williams - Drums, did Little Sister. Got moderate airplay. Great song. Maybe a HOB preview, who knows.

I'm certainly going to plunk down the $9.99 for the mp3's for this one (and still hope they'll reconsider and release CD-boots). If a CD of this one comes out, I'll pay, again, for it.

    C'mon folks... AROUND THE BEND!!!

  • CROWD WAS AWESOME...crown of thorns, and wash were rediculous, but to keep the show in perspective....by the end of it, i couldnt even remember what they opened with it was so good...

the 1st set seemed like they had played 30 songs, they breezed through it with rediculous poise...

It was a thing of beauty............but not a very high score from the Olympic judges. It was truly cool watching Ed and the band enjoying themselves.
    A great night.
  • Just came back from the show and all I can say is....that was fucking amazing! The band came on around 8:20 and played until around 11:10. Me and my friends had predicted Wash as the opener and we were right, and it was awesome even though some of the house lights remained on during the first half of the song.

The energy was really running high throughout the entire show...Mike was jumping on and off of amps and always trying to get the crowd into the songs...Jeff jumped on the drum kit a couple of times and even Eddie got into the act with a couple summmersaults on the stage.

As somebody previously had written, the band was extremely gracious to the city of Philadelphia...and I don't just mean the obligatory "thanks for showing up" that most bands give on their tours...this was more like "God, we love playing here...we owe you this show." Love the humility, even though it was unneccessary. we love them just the same.

Blood was a great first set closer without a tag but oh well...The first encore kicked in nicely with around the bend and brought in some not so often heard songs such as Crown of Thorns and Around the Bend. The second encore did just as well with a RITFW/Ledbetter finale with the house lights up and 20,000+ going crazy...

Great night, great band, great memories, great music..can't wait for the bootleg and maybe a dvd??!!(please)

I'll say this, I didnt get my tickets thru the ten-club, if I did I'm positive that my experience tonight would have been much more positive. I was in section 109, lower section on the corner of the arena. There were 2 girls in our row who were rocking out and me and my buddy and thats it. The first time I've been in a section like that at PJ concert. At least the band was awesome tonight (like always).
  • man, i wish i were there. What a fucking setlist... it's amazing... So many great songs that I would love to hear live. Crazy. I envy you mother fuckers. Lucky bastards.

I sadly have to agree with you! I can't even believe I was so honored to get such an AMAZING setlist like this from PJ and everybody in my section were so not into it! They played so many rare/B-sides and as soon as I heard the first notes, I was so beyond freaking out and then I'd look around and no one in my section knew what the songs were! I wanted to enjoy this unbelievable show with other fans who knew how special of a show we were getting! I think the setlist was unfucking believable and I cannot wait to get the boot! PJ were so awesome and I'm so sad that the shows are over for this year! I just really, really wish that I could do it all over again and be in a section with diehard PJ fans like myself! But my god, what a special, special treat of a setlist full of energy we got from PJ!

    WOW, amazing show!
The 1st part was full of energy, Eddie was sweating like crazy after 5 songs, the kids were having a ball.
Lots of rarities for a specialized audience, definitely worth a DVD!

Thanks PJ for a wonderful Tour, now heading to South-America.

We were holding an Argentinean flag on section 115, which was pretty dead btw :), but the floor was f-ing-rocking.

Did you see that woman holding a baby next to the stage? Eddie came to her a couple of times, poor baby must be deaf by now...

just got home, my jaw is still on the floor...not sure what to say...they blew through the first set and i thought it was shorter than usual until i just reviewed it and it was a solid 18 songs WITH the man trilogy! jesus. then the two encores just blew the roof off the dump. Alive was rediculous as always...so happy they made that a staple this tour... rockin in the free world had the whole place in a frenzy, ed doing somersaults and balancing the heineken on his head! i thought it was really sweet how he was dancing with the girl from sleater...was it corin? say what you will about them, they may suck but they seem to have a great time with pearl jam on stage and they definitly added something there at the end, it was like one big party!

Hahahaha....I totally agree with you that I really loved watching Eddie dance with Corin at the end! It reminded me of some old folk dance or something (okay maybe not folk, but I can't think of what kind...hahaha)! Eddie really did seem like he was having the time of his life!!!! He is awesome!

7th Row??? What section?? I was Section 2 Row 7, I saw her too, I was thinking that was Ed's significant other with child but wasnt sure. I did notice the lil girl had big old headphones on.
  • Did anyone else think McCready took a lot less solos than usual during this show? It seemed like Stone got more than half which is unusual in comparison to the other shows i attended.
