    for halloween i was gonna be a st louis cardinal and no show for work today, but then i realized i need my job.. :fp:

    I wanted to st louis cardinal today also ... mainly because my friend is a cards fan and we had to do some post-game drinking last night ...

    It's kind of an east coast thing, but for sure a boston thing, but their fans enjoy rubbing in defeat more then they enjoy that their team actually won. It's strange. I can't imagine going to another city, having my team win, and the first thing I do is go fuck with the losing team's fans.

    They'll get theirs when Big Roid-i retires and the Yankees take back over the East(not that that's much better), while the Birds on the Bat are still serious contenders.

    Not all Boston fans know how to act in victory. However, I must say that was very nice of Gimme to post a congratulations to the Red Sox. It's not easiest thing to do when one is a passioned fan like how Cardinal fans are. The Cards competed well but did not hit to stay with the Sox but they did give it their best and that's all one ask from your team.

    The Cardinals will be back.

    You know people are going to say not so nice things when their team loses or the team they hate wins. Just ignore the comments because it won't change the fact that the Red Sox are World Series Champions no matter what ugly things are posted. Even I get upset when Boston teams lose in a championship, I just wait it out then post later congratulations like I did to Blackhawk fans.

    yeah we are all pretty bummed out in cardinal nation. he had a very bright future ahead of him and was going to be a superstar.

    he was only 22, and his g/f was 18.

    it makes the nlcs loss more difficult for me to take, because had we made the series, this kid would still be alive.
