Need to bounce back tonight. Sounds like Rundblad is out and Kyle Cumiskey is in for tonight.

That game took so long, this is what Kimmo Timonen looked like afterwards image

Can't believe I couldn't stay up. Passed out during the 2nd OT and woke up with the postgame on talking about a Hawks win. I'm too old for this shit.

Why the hell did Q switch up the lines before last night's game? That lineup had been very effective...especially that 4th line. They were probably the best line in game 2 so he goes ahead and breaks them up? Really? And you put in Versteeg and Nordstrom??? Makes no fucking sense.

When that puck landed on Kane's stick with 5 seconds, OMG! What a defensive play.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Man.. That defender did just enough.. So close. Not a lot of scoring chances. Looked slow. The game winner was joke. Looked like Crawford slipped a bit and was late getting there. Everyone needs to step it up a notch and play with some fire.

I will never, ever understand Q's love for Kris Versteeg. He's completely useless. I'd probably be as effective out there in sneakers and a street hockey stick.

Gotta win tonight. I don't think the Hawks are coming back from down 3-1 with 2 on the road. Unfortunately I'll be at a wedding tonight so probably won't be able to watch much. Although I may try to stream the game on my phone for a bit...we'll see how that goes.

Where the fuck have Sharp and Bickell been?!?
Shaw deserves to be on that second line.
Put Bickell on the 4th because all he's doing he sorta hitting guys. More like hitting the wall....then turning the puck over.
Sharp has been a complete no show in this series.
My top 5 in this series so far:
Kane....dude is just so damn good yet playing on a lethargic line.
Keith...easily the MVP of this series IMO.
    Shaw....grinding it out. Killer forechecking!
Kruger...I've never been a huge Kruger fan but the guy does it all.
Saad...also never been a huge Saad fan but he's been playing awesome.

    Gotta keep it going!
  • Indifference71Indifference71 Chicago Posts: 14,723
Well that fucking sucked. Bickell did an awful job of dumping that puck in OT there which led right to the goal. Wouldn't be surprised if Bickell is scratched tomorrow night...he hasn't done shit in these playoffs. I think the Hawks will push it to a game 7. But to win 2 in a row at this point is going to be really tough.
  • davidtriosdavidtrios Posts: 9,732
Bickell was awful, I hope he gets demoted to the 4th line and then Kruger could be elevated to a more prominent role.

Yep, Bickell hasn't done ONE thing this entire series that I would call positive.
I'm going to be pretty pissed if he's on that 2nd line again. Shaw and Kruger deserve to be playing on higher lines. I mean, just think of the increased production if you had a guy with Richards and Kane who could actually do something.
My vote is for Shaw. The guy can forecheck with the best of them and he can occupy space in front of the net...and he can score from time to time. All of which Bickell can't do.

    Also...
Still waiting for Sharp to show up. I mean honestly, the only time they mention his name is when he's shooting from the blue line directly into the goalie's glove or 10 feet wide which gets turned around in 2 seconds by the Ducks' D.

I think we'll take the next game but no way are we taking the series.
And WTF was that first period? I know the Hawks don't typically light it up in the first periods, but holy fuck that was terrible!

Man, how good is Duncan Keith??? I love watching him play. Assisted on the first 3 goals in a 4 minute span. Got a little too close for comfort when Ducks cut it to 3-2, but Hawks did what they needed to do and got it to a game 7. Can't believe we have to wait until Saturday night. Should be fun.
  • Indifference71Indifference71 Chicago Posts: 14,723
I forgot to mention....what is with all of the too many men on the ice penalties for the Hawks??? They've had 5 of them in this series alone. And it feels like it has been happening all year. I just don't get it.

For Keith to have a game of that caliber last night is just unreal. Down to 4 1/2 defensemen, he is the freakin key to our success in this series. He plays smart, he's quick, and he eats up ice time for breakfast. If we make it to the final, he's got a terrific argument for the Conn Smythe, win or lose, imo. There aren't many d-men in the league that can do for their team what he does for us.

Yeah, he's pretty much a physical freak. The guy never gets tired. If Hawks end up winning the cup I could absolutely see him winning the Conn Smythe. Gotta get past Anaheim first...Saturday is going to be tough. Can't wait.

Back playing for the Cup! Can't believe how easily they won last night. The Ducks sure are good at losing games 7s at home. 3 in a row. Can't wait for Wednesday to get here.

Young, fast, skilled players vs. Young, fast, skilled players. Should be a great series! I think it will come down to the goaltenders & whoever turns the puck over least.

    Hawks in a clean sweep.

I'm sure glad Q, Toews, & Co won't be underestimating the Lightning as much as all of my fellow Hawks fans are. This is a damn good team that has ousted the Atlantic Division champs & Presidents Trophy winners in consecutive rounds, finished the season 6 points better than Chicago, and was one of only 4 teams with fewer than 10 home losses during the season. It's not gonna be a cake walk. Go Hawks!
