    Bought "The Kids Are Twenty" from the Evil Empire(Apple) this weekend. I just couldn't not get it knowing it was available. I have to say that it is an awesome piece of viewing, but it makes me yearn and burn for the 3rd disc even more. The profile of Mike's band Shadow was super cool.....
    But after watching the 2nd part of Mr Crowe's fabulous doc I think I'm more pissed off than I was to begin with. The fact that this entire set is not available is completely ridiculous. I can't believe it. I mean really...
    It's almost enough to give up hope...Yet I shan't...I will keep waiting and hoping and hoping and waiting...
    Hats off to everyone that has participated in this petition...

    I would assume they would have to offer exchanges for those of us who obtained the older (and dirtier) copy. Then it would undoubtedly become a collector's item even more so than it already is. :lol:

    I did post on Cameron Crowe's facebook wall about this a couple of days ago.

    They are wearing me down... ;(

    I really think we need a one day protest on either Cameron Crowe's facebook wall or twitter. He's the only one who responded in this mess saying our voices would be heard. I dunno...what do you guys think?

    1) They announced when they were out of stock
    2) They removed the listing for the product from the site entirely

    Want a bootleg? Go on a torrent site and download a DVD rip of the other two discs. The Blu-Ray is NOT a noticeable improvement, due to the pathetic Blu-Ray transfer.

    I don't think these guys are obligated to answer - the silence on the topic over numerous months says it all.

    Everyone in this thread is admirably committed to this cause, but there are better ways to spend your time.

    So I understand from another thread ( viewtopic.php?f=4&t=177332&start=30#p4167139 ) that about 1,000 of these boxsets got "lost" en route to the buyers.
    Suggestion for 10C: Instead of reimbursing all those buyers, put in an order to manufacture new ones. And at the same time, manufacture some more as you can see the demand is there for more of these boxsets. Since the manufacturing cost is (much?) lower than $70, this will enable you to recoup the losses of those 1,000 missing boxsets. And it will make many fans happy.

    Just an idea... :)
