    Incidentally, those were 2 awesome half-shows. I went to the first night, and have the bootleg for the second night. The bootleg quality for shows at the X is just great.

    On another note. Has anyone been to Mill City Nights? I'm going tonight for Cat Power and am curious if anyone has been and their thoughts on the venue - I know it's been re-remodeled.

    Isn't that the former Brick? I wonder how much remodeling they can do for that place...it sounded like a disaster for its first and only show. Let us know how it is.

    Yep, former Brick. I think they has a few shows there, but only one big one (Jane's Addiction) - but yes, I heard it was quite a disaster!

    Cat Power is awesome! I'd no clue she was playing there. LMK how it goes.
    I heard they remodeled the venue before reopening as Mill City, my buddy was there last weekend and he said it was decent.

    if they do play river's edge (i'm betting on it, tbh) they better get the 7-10 slot dave matthews did.

    Mill City Nights has gotten much better. I was there once when it was the Brick and it was bad, but now it is much better. Think they started limiting the amount of tix to each show, which seems to have helped.

    Mill City was a decent venue! We stood on the second level on the rail. They sloped that upper level - which I think is one of the improvements they made. Anyways I thought it was a nice, intimate setting - I'd definitely see another show there! The show was good. Not sure if it the system, where I was standing or her, but the vocals were a little drowned out. She also went on some rants - I guess that is typical of her though!

    Anyone check out RHCP last night?

    I went to RHCP show last night. It was the first time I've seen them, and I thought they sounded good. I'm obviously spoiled by PJ and how their shows go, but I had a great time.

    Try calling and see if they can order it for you. It sounds weird, but I've had great success by calling stores during the day. They usually have time to take an extra look for you or help you find it. I scored an original Into The Wild and Binaural on vinyl from Cheapo that way.

    Otherwise, Best Buy has copies at most metro locations. I searched their website, typed in my St. Paul zip code, and all these stores had in-store availability of the album on CD.

    Nope, i got there at night around 8 or 9 and saw American Revival (awesome) American North (acoustic set, the singer added PJ's Black as a tag with the "we belong together" too kind of made me cringe though)after them was Ready Goes (really great set) and 4 on the Floor killed it as the closer. They came on in Sgt. Pepper outfits and covered Neil's Down by the River and The Beatles "don't let me down" and "Twist and Shout"

    Down and Above is always great but that show sounds pretty solid.

    Also, I'm surprised RNDM's cd is at Best Buy. Seems like they would've kept it at indie stores.

    Oh, and PJ. c'men...MINNY is waiting!!!!!!

    I'm in! Doors are at 8pm, so Gull will probably open at 8:30 or even 9. BTW, check out Gull - one dude playing both guitar and drums simultaneously, looks pretty interesting!
