    I'd love to get Who tickets... but it looks like it's not in the books....pretty spendy for the seats I want. Same goes for Dylan

    I got the cheap seats on The Who, and the Dylan seats we ended up spending about $80/ticket for seats on the lower level, on the side. Floor seats were $100/ticket but 42 rows back!

    Everything's so spendy these days...

    Sure is... but $80 is better than I thought for Dylan especially for lower level side seats. Nice find.

    Anyway, there's a few smaller shows coming through that I'm lookin forward to... though, I'm thinking about making the trip to see Uncle Neil w/Crazy Horse and Los Lobos. THe more I think about it the more I feel the need to go. I'm not up for another Winnipeg trip at the time or else I'd go up there.

    Tell me about it! I'm completely grappling with trying to go, but I'm pretty much resigned that I won't be able to do it. The Chicago show is on a Thursday, so I could fly there in the afternoon, catch the show, stay the night, and fly back in the morning (because I have to be at work that next day), for $169.90/flight + show tickets + hotel + cab. Even though the cost isn't that bad, it's all for 2 people and I'm thinking there's no way my wife lets me do that! She figures, and I agree, that if we're going to Chicago, we may as well stay a few days and I can't take that day off of work after.

    OR...

    The Winnipeg show is on a Friday which means I could fly there that Friday for...wait for it...$900 per fucking ticket + show tickets + hotel. If I don't fly, it'll be cheaper but a HUGE pain in the ass (that Winnipeg drive is pretty brutal).

    It just doesn't look like its going to happen, but I keep wrestling with it...

    Woah $900 bucks?? to Winnipeg!? That's ridiculous... and yeah the drive back is just awful.

    But yeah it's probably not worth going to Chicago for a night and then hurrying back the next day. I've done that a few times and it's brutal although this time around I'd be going with another person who can also drive. I'll definitely stay a day or two if I go. I better hurry up and make up my mind though.

    The drive back from PJ was terrible! Driving up there that Friday actually felt really quick. Maybe we just made good time. But driving back that Sunday, listening to the Vikes piss away a 20 point half-time lead over the Lions, coupled with the awful North Dakota countryside and my post-PJ hangover...man that was rough.

    But there is something really appealing about seeing Neil in Winnipeg. Agh! I will agonize over this until the shows are over with.

    I'm thinking a US tour in summer - fall next year? So far, its been announced that PJ is playing South America shows in March and April, then apparently Europe in mid-June. So I'm guessing something summer next year? Selfishly, that works well for me. I've got a boatload of weddings to attend in April and May. Haha.

    That is my experience of every PJ show I've driven out of town for. The Winnipeg show last year was fantastic, even the drive there was fast and fun. The drive back the next day? Slow, boring, ugly...awful.

    Well, I'm glad you had a great time. Hope someone got some great pictures.

    That's awesome. It sounded like a great show. I think the small size of the venue really made it special. Glad some MN kids got to see it!

    Missoula was great. There were some issues, but I did meet some cool people while I waited in line for over and hour for merch! But all in all I can't complain. It was a great, different type of show - loved the sit - down for the first encore!

    Looking forward to next year when PJ comes to Minnesota! Just don't come in early July, as I will be back in MT for a wedding!

    The show sounded awesome. I really wish I could've been there, in a small setting. I know this might sound ridiculous, but I was envisioning a Benaroya II, in terms of venue size, crowd energy etc., and it sounds like you got it. :)

    Yes, that is my wife Hannah next to Jeff. She kind of didn't believe me when I said that morning, "let's walk over to the water front. There's a skate park there and I know Jeff likes to skate in the towns he visits on tour." (a la Immagine in Cornice). And there we were, watching Jeff along with Mark Arm (also pictured) from Mudhoney and Steve Turner (not pictured because he's taking the picture!) from Mudhoney skating away on a breezy, cool Winnipeg morning.

    Man I hope PJ plays MN next year. I think it probably will happen...maybe an August, September, October tour (like 2009), and because much of the rest of the midwest has been played more recently (2010 had shows in St. Louis, KC, Indiana, Cleveland), I think there will be an East Coast leg, a West Coast leg and a few midwest shows (Chicago, St. Paul?). I honestly can see that happening...
