    fishing opener this weekend. looking forward to spending it on one of the "thousand" lakes here. you should stop by, ed, i'll show you around. maybe give you a bit of an education on minnesota waters. you can't surf them, but you can still have a ton of fun.

    Do you think the band thinks about places they haven't played in a while or do they just see the $$$ symbol on the east coast and where festivals are?

    Honestly, I don't think they (the band) get into that a lot. I think they play Europe and Australia because they can. Who the hell wouldn't spend their summer in Europe, getting paid to play music? As for the east coast, I'm sure its more an "atmosphere" thing than it is a money thing. They know they can sell out those shows and its probably way more fun to play sold out crowds than it is 2/3 or 3/4 full crowds. That doesn't mean they don't want to play other areas, but they of course just hit those areas less frequently.

    As someone who's fairly young (29), married to a girl who likes PJ and traveling and has no kids yet (aside from two cats), I'm lucky enough to still hit the coasts or Europe or other cities when they do tour.

    Of course, I'd LOVE a MN show for once, but while they're out there touring somewhere/anywhere, I'll try to make it.
