wow wow and wow. setlist of the tour for sure. I love how this band constantly mixes things up. big wave?! awesome. How the heck do they remember so many songs? Congrats Calgary!
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
The entire thing. First two-thirds was just Ed on acoustic guitar, then the rest of the band joined in.
Wish I was there to hear that! As someone else said before, rest in peace REM!! Awesome band!
"...take care of a couple of requests...one is from last night...I don't know if you are here again tonight...this first one...I'm not gonna tell you!"
EV Adelaide 22-11-2006 ... yep I was there ... THANKS!
My cousin Sean was the inspiration for myself and the rest of my family to get into this band. He was the oldest cousin of ours and opened our eyes to this religion that we call Pearl Jam. He passed away in 2007 and it was devestating to our family.
My brother and I ran into Mike early in the day and had a nice chat with him about the city, jobs, and The Bow River. Before he left, I explained to him what I said above, and told him that Deep was Seans favorite song and that he never got to hear it live, and that we were wondering if there was any chance they could play it tonight while all of our cousins were at the show. Not only did they play it, as well as dedicate it to Sean, they did the same with Light Years as well. What an absolute surreal moment for all of us at the show tonight. That is something we will never ever forget, and something we will cherish forever.
Thank you so much guys.
WOW.. that is just awesome. I am a little choked by that of I'm honest, beautiful.

won the lottery for the first time. right in front of stone, front row. was bouncing jumping like a mofo most of the night. lost my shit during brain of j i think i could have dunked a basketball right then. what a great night. got some stone smiles etc towards the end and just a great fucking night. Brought a friend to her first show and what a first show for her, shit. And now she's in for Edmonton haha! REM song was sweet too.
Thanks 10c, been a long wait but was an awesome experience. Thank you.
Just wanted to ask - if somebody took a photo of Eddie holding the Croatian flag - please, upload it!
Our friend, who won the lottery for the 1st row and threw it up on the stage, was too excited and he didn't have his camera ready at the moment

Wow..glad to hear you and your family could have a special moment through song to reflect on your cousin. Touching story.
Another solid show. JOHNNY GUITAR WATSON!!! Love it!

That might have been the best main set I've seen. It had a great flow. I loved having Corduroy late in the set, and also having Alive in the main set. The way we took over the chanting in Daughter and he let it end by us simply carrying it on an fading over time was incredible. Does he do that much, I don't recall it, at least not that it felt so awe-inspiring as last night. I also thought Unthought Known was remarkable, and generally had more appreciation for the Backspacer songs than I usually do. Really enjoyed The Fixer for the first time.
Wonderful, wonderful show. So glad I've got Edmonton and Vancouver coming up!
Best setlist of the tour so far (not just because I was there, I was also in Saskatoon). nothingman4, that's an amazing story and I am very happy that you ran into Mike! Got my wish for better Avocado and Backspacer coverage, Johnny Guitar was wicked and Parachutes so wildly unexpected. The band seemed more loose than in Saskatoon and the balance of songs was perfect. Some of the transitions that look a tad odd on paper actually worked well live (e.g, Lukin played that early in a show) ... I am at work and dying of exhaustion, but talk about worth it. Best show of seven that I've seen in person. What can I say, Calgary rocks every time, they save their best for the hometown.
A couple more things before I collapse in my own bed (what a strange concept! ):
- tonight was my champagne Pearl Jam show: thirty-one years, thirty-one shows.
- tonight was also the closest I've ever sat: 6th row, right in front of Mike.
- the sacrificial Pearl Jam virgin was my...uh, well, ex-girlfriend/not-girlfriend/girlfriend-but-we're-on-a-break-so-she's-not-really-my-girlfriend. I don't know how to explain it. Anyway, she had a great time despite only really knowing four songs.
- the band members were in fantastic spirits tonight. There was a "night two at Alpine" vibe up on stage.
- three words: Matt Fucking Cameron
- "It Happened Today" was gorgeous. Total highlight for me.
- I heard "Big Wave", "Johnny Guitar" and "Search & Destroy" live for the first time.
- this was the only time I've really seen Pearl Jam after a "normal" day. I woke up; I went to work; I came home; I saw Pearl Jam; and now I'm going to bed. Weird.
ANYWAY. See everyone in Edmonton!
You're a bastard and I hate you.

- Release opening up (4th time out of 7 shows for me but never gets old)
- Deep (been waiting for this song forever)
- Brain of J
- And to state the obvious It Happened Today was breath-taking and unreal, they could have stopped the show there and I would been happy.
- Hearing Corduroy again live again was good (been since 2005 since I last seen it live)
Once again Calgary does it again......great crowd as always!

This topped 2005 for me, which I honestly didn't think was going to happen.
Just so fantastic to be back at a PJ show for the first time in 2 years, to be around some great friends and meeting some amazing Canadian folks. Way to go Canada, you people are fantastic!
Was beyond fortunate to get some up front seats, and cannot thank the folks that made this responsible enough. You know who you are, and sincerely, this meant a lot.
Release was the perfect opener after seeing the movie the night before. The entire night was filled with energy, they must have been feeling good after having 2 nights off. Too many highlights to mention, the REM cover was a pretty cool gesture, Rats was as dirty as ever ... but the crowd and the folks I was with made this night unforgettable.
As Ed said, the energy in teh crowds has been increasing teh more west they go ... so, it'll only get better from here on out.
See y'all in Edmonton.

Fantastic setlist. Cheers to those who witnessed it . The Canadian tour is proving to be a can't-miss. The guys are loose, focused and on fire. Viva la Pearl Jam.
The Canadian setlists have been excellent. A setlist will be relayed and I'll think: "Man, I'm gonna get that one as a boot." Then the next tour date will have what I perceive to be an even better setlist and I'll go: "Naw, gotta have that one." Next tour stop, more bootleg decisions. The band seems to have a tremendous vibe going in the midst of all the PJ20 celebration.

:wtf: These setlists are getting more and more ridiculous! As someone stated before how do they remember all these songs???? It seems as almost nothing is off limits from being played! Congrats to everyone who got to be at this show!!!!!!!
