I am surprised no one posted an update about the 2nd show in Dublin on 18 Dec, so here we go, a short but all encompassing summary: It took 4 hours ... and neither the band nor the audience wanted it to stop. When they started to get tired they just ordered a few pints on stage and went on and on and on. It was amazing.
This take is not perfect quality (thanks for posting anyway) but it is a great representation of the atmosphere (recorded at the end when all musicians including guests like the wonderful Lisa Hannigan and Liam O Maonlai joined the audience on the floor): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRIPuSYP8wM0 -
Check this out people - amazing film by Myles O'Reilly of Glen's Christmas busk with Bono, Lisa Hannigan and Sinead O'Connor:

It's really cool that you liked the arena in Vienna...it truly is something completely different than its name would suggest. It's independently run by a cultural organization, and has been so since the start, the city has threatened to close it down various times but no success so far, thankfully! I wish I could've gone to that show, but it sold out really quickly.
2 weeks til Glen in London! so excited to see him & so many of the people I did the PJ and EV tours with again!0 -

Saw Glen last night at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow. He was fantastic, on for over 2 1/2 hours and full of craic.
EV got a wee name check when glen said his new uke was from 'the good man Vedder' who told him to go and learn some some on it. He also tagged one of his songs with 'i miss you already' from Smile.
It was a small hall and at the end he invited everyone down to stand in front of the stage while he sang a cover of a Leonard Cohen song.
Him and his band put on a hell of a show and they deserve all the success in the worldHail Hail0 -

I was at that show, really enjoyed it! He told the story about his US tour with EV, where people would think his song "pennies in the fountain" was called "panties in the fountain", and they'd request that...reminded me of my time in Florida as well. And he played song of good hope, which is my fav tune of his, such a great evening.0 -
