I met so many people this weekend that never use this board that were diehard fans nonetheless. And everyone I spoke to was blown away by Chris Cornell. I'm just not into negativity even when I don't like something. I believe in freedom of speech but I also adopted the philosophy if you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say it. It's like why waste your time if you really feel that negative about something anyway. Just go away. But maybe this is the only place negative people have to go as they probably don't have any friends that want to hear their bull
Ironic...a negative post bashing negative posts.
Yes, I suppose it could be read as a negative post, point taken, I just get a little defensive about PJ, a weakness I suppose, but I love those guys as we all do0 -
My personal opinion?
I could not care less if people didn't enjoy the shows. Of a crowd of 25,000 or so, you are going to have people who are disappointed; that's their right and their opinion. It's simple statistics.
The bottom line for me is that the band looked like they were having the time of their lives. They deserve it. They deserve to celebrate and party with their friends.0 -
I just don't understand how anybody who calls themselves a fan of this band could be disappointed by what transpired this past weekend.
I don't want to get all "love it or leave it" on you guys, but if you were at the show and didn't like what you saw and heard, I don't think you're a fan of Pearl Jam. Because this show was who Pearl Jam is, was and will always be.
Except for minor tweaks to the setlist, I don't fathom how it could have come off any differently.
It's like your favorite team just won the Super Bowl by 10 points, and you're pissed it wasn't 21.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do0 -

That's the other thing. Everybody on the stage just looked so fucking happy. And that made me happy, especially knowing the at-times rocky history of the band.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
