3 or 4 dates to choose from on the NA tour. But wow, the tickets are not cheap.

Prices for Soldier Field show say prices are between $55-155. That doesn't seem too bad for a band like Metallica.

Just saw that, all the fan club tickets are the $160 ones it looks like.

I've always found they generally hit the staples on every tour, and sub out a handful of songs from whatever album they're touring for. The standard thing most bands do.

I think I'm gonna pass though. It's a stadium show, and going to Vancouver requires me to burn vacation days (especially as its on a Mondy) :( I am disappointed in the trend of the remaining big rock bands gravitating to stadium shows :( I guess there's less and less of these big bands left touring, so the demand for tickets keeps going up. Especially as the bulk of the audience seeing them are in their peak earning years and can afford tickets.

Ahhh, gotcha. $160 is a bit high, but sounds like they're giving the best seats to the fan club which is pretty cool.

Weird Al has done it as well.

weird al never did it. for mandatory fun he put out like a video day for six of the songs but not the whole album.
I think Tegan and Sara did for their last album. Or atleast a big chunk of the album.

I've never cared for Metallica (except for the S&M album) but now seeing Creeping Death live is on my bucket list.

I'm animating all evenings and having Metallica live blasting in the headphones is great.
They opened with Creeping Death in Vancouver for the Full Arsenal tour.
    It was epic!
I'm thinking about going to the Vancouver show in august but it's right before a music festival in Tofino I'm attending.
    Tough call

Unfortunately not really. I only saw them switch it up real good back in '04. They played philyl twice in a row and it was a completely different setlist which i was surprised. Last time i saw them was at the first Orion Music festival in AC> While it was good they didn't mix it up too much with the exception of playing Ride the Lightning and the Black album in it's entirety. They ended with one and seek and destroy both nights. and started with hit the lights and master both nights. come on, they could have mixed it up a little more.

I'll be going to the philly show

I'm passing :( I think it's the first Metallica tour in a while I'm passing on. This new fangled thing with big bands playing Stadiums for insanely expensive prices isn't great. I'm a legacy metclub member so I just pulled up GA tickets for Vancouver, but a Stadium floor is huge if there's no pit section at the front :( After fee's it's over $200/ticket. Not that they're the only ones charging that, but I'm finding myself not willing to pay that much for a band I've already seen 4 times, and all 4 times in an arenas for less money. Paying through the nose for a stadium experience... I guess I found my line :(
  • I'm not going either Zod.

Too much money. Too big a venue. I just saw them in Van when they filmed the movie and I saw them two years ago in Vegas at Rock in Rio.

Kinda bummed. But I'm not paying the money they want.

  • Had the presale all lined up but 200+ per ticket is not happening. Im cool witth the cheapest nodebleeds i can find later on

I've never seen Metallica before and yeah the prices are very high, but we decided to go since it might be our only time to see them. I tried for San Antonio and couldn't get reserved seats so I settled for the floor. I'm very short so I really hate floor seats, but I'll manage.

I'm going to Baltimore. Think it has been 10 years since I last saw them, and they almost never play North America any more so sucked it up this time.

Never seen them so I'm certainly not passing on this opportunity. Especially since the show is only 20 minutes from my house. Got the Unforgiven ticket package today for Atlanta.
