 Let's just say that it's a miracle my TV is still intact. Had a couple friends over watching the game...they literally saw that call, got up and walked out without saying anything. They knew better!

    Okay. Okay. Okay.

    Sigh.

I will consent that the Packers in the first half did not look all that great. The o-line was awful and Rodgers needs to get some new damn cleats. That being said, they clearly made adjustments at the half and I have to say that I'm impressed with the improvements the defense has made thus far this season.

Pertaining to that horseshit call at the end. I think it was Gruden that said "that was the most blatant missed call of OPI that I have ever seen" and he was right. THEN. THEN. The 'touchdown'. Jennings very clearly had possession of that ball before Tate did - one of his arms was visibly not even on the ball. And for 2 DIFFERENT calls to be made by the refs and for them to go to review and uphold the touchdown??!!! You've gotta be kidding me. If this doesn't end the strike then I don't know if I can watch the rest of the season. Maybe it's time for the players to strike. Won't happen but they should. The NFL won't reverse anything from this game, but there should be a damn asterisk next to it.

I am happy with the way that McCarthy and Rodgers handled the conferences after. McCarthy took the blame as the coach and that was incredibly classy of him. Rodgers was more visibly upset but he held back and was short and sweet - probably because he was afraid of going off about it. I also loved Jennings saying "the refs did a great job"

As a Packers fan I'm upset beyond belief and as a football fan I am plain disgusted. I don't want to take anything away from the Seahawks because they played a tough game. But I know that if the situation were reversed, I wouldn't be content with that win.

I'd be interested to hear comments about this call from the real refs, who I'm sure aren't at liberty to say anything, but then again they're probably happy about it because this should force the NFL to come to terms with them.

And I have to say that most of my friends - who are Bears fans - are smart enough to realize that the Packers should have won that game. But for those few that are laughing, just remember that the Packers still kicked your ass last week.

You get an A+ on this essay

I thought Tate was funny..."I don't know what you're talking about"

I think Carrol carried an intentionally telling shit eating grin during all the post game interviews.

No player or coach that I would want on my team is gonna admit that, so it's hard to blame them for not saying "yeah the refs gave us that one". Everybody knows what happened so why not enjoy the win and pray you don't see them in the playoffs.

Not even close. I hate the Bears so by default I'd be much more inclined to pull for the Packers, and with the Colts' chances looking pretty bleak I've been pulling for the Rams, not that their chances are any better, but they've always been my old man's team.

I didn't really care who won. I just don't think you can expect them to piss on a win that nobody expected them to get, regardless of how trivial. It's not their fault the refs are horrible, and it's likely they probably would've been a little more tactful had they known how this thing was gonna blow up.

The roughing the passer call on the drive before that negated an INT was a horrific call as well. It's going to be interesting to see how GB responds to this, will it motivate or stay in their heads?

Pack, even though I was rooting for Seattle, I'll be another to say, "you got hosed." Let's just hope this gets the Commish's head outta his a$$. I think that's the only good that can come from this. Watching the NFL these days is like watching the WWE as you never know what Vince McMahon will come up with next.

Roughing the passer is the single worst call in football. Just because they are a QB who makes a lot of money doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to take a hit. If it's gonna get this ridiculous just give them flags or just play two hand touch. What is a blitzing D lineman or LB supposed to do. It's there job to sack the QB. They are running at the full speed. It is impossible for them to stop on a dime. On this play he dove as he was releasing the ball. How is he supposed to stop mid air? Qb's are gonna get hit. That's part of football. That's one of the things we like football, cause people get hit.

Wow. Intense game. If a few tiny little things would have worked out the Pack could have ran away with this one, if the 2nd challenge would have been overturned like it defiantly should have been and/or if Rodgers wouldn't have been poked in the eye. But either way a wins a win.

Some really good things to take from this game though. After 4 weeks of evidence I think we can say that Randall Cobb and James Jones are developing into great weapons. Benson is an absolute beast, couldn't be more excited for him to be a Packer. The Defense is improved greatly from last year, 27 points allowed against Drew Brees when his defense is last in the NFL will probably get you a win 75% of the time no matter what team you are.

And lastly I still hate Finley.

Finley blows. All talk, NO walk. With Jones and Cobb I think they may let Jennings walk after this year. If you can get him cheap OK, but if he wants big money, you let him walk, he's not helping himself by not staying healthy. Intense game is right, never been a part of crowd that booed so loud, and rightfully so. The refs, real and replacement are atrocious. If we have video replay, there is ZERO excuse to get any reviewed play wrong.

Zack! Where the hell ya been man? I totally agree with everything you said here - still can't believe McCarthy did that first challenge - even Jordy knew he didn't have that ball. :fp: The refs were atrocious again, ANOTHER missed OPI call...and to the Packers of all teams. I'm just so happy they won at this point. Can't believe the Saints are back to being the aints thus far. Jones has really taken a huge step for the offense...we probably won't even need Jennings next year (it does hurt to say that). And yes...Finley still sucks.

Should be a huge win this weekend...here's hoping!

It was too close for sure.

In other news...more reasons to hate Bears fans even more...we were watching the game at a huge sportsbook so there were fans of just about every team there. When the Saints would score, the Saints fans were cheering (as they should for their team) and the Bears fans would run over to us and get all crazy in our faces. Stay classy guys. :fp:
