One word... AMAZING. Love the setlist. Eddie full of stories tonight. Felt like I was watching Storytellers (which I love). Long Road has always had a special place with me ever since Eddie and Neil preformed it during the 9/11 tribute. Great show, worth the trip from Chicago. Thank you Eddie and Seattle.

Eddie went all out tonight, glad to be home but both feet firmly planted on the stage. Set list featured tributes to many artists who influenced him -- generously spiced with stories (has anyone heard elsewhere the story of the hiking - singing 16 year old girls and Eddie as a living mirage, the "very caricature of himself"??) Hard rocking version of Open All Night. Rendition of Fahkah that rivals Car Car . . . Just Breathe that raised goosebumps, and halfway through Eddie had soundboard adjusted (told the audience not to Piss Off George!) and restarted from the top to everyone's joy, including wishing well to newly engaged couple (with the first dedication, the bride-to-be cried out with joy and her finance embraced her in a grand hug and kiss!) . . . . awesome awesome show!!

All I can say is WOW!! I'm still speechless cuz my jaw is still sitting on the floor. What a show and what a great tour closing show. I got chills when Ed said Seattle was his home and he'll never leave. I traveled around and met some great people during this tour. I can't put into words how amazing tonight was and the rest of the tour. So excited that less then 2 months and I get to see the whole band again. Ed....you out did yourself tonight. Thank you for such an amazing tour!!!

I am way too tired to write a review of this, but I'll just say that it was absolutely breathtaking, and even though the crowd messed up the "Oh"s after the first verse of porch, it was full of great performances (Immortality was indeed played, and was incredible). Great storytelling, great performances, great setlist.

The best part, though, was briefly getting to meet Eddie after the show, around 1:40 AM. Was anyone else there?

Yeah you're right! That was pretty sweet and I don't see it on the setlist.

This show gave me chills. Ed was really chatty and full of stories. The crowd was awesome, full of energy but not rude :-) At one point people were yelling requests and he said "what? you want me to say fuck you to you? when you yell at me all I hear is "say fuck you to me". He then mentioned that this must be what it's like for kids when you tell them to do something and they pretty much just block that out and do whatever they want anyway.

I can't even choose a highlight of this show for me. Too much good stuff, Jesus H.

I finally got the vinyl, it's spinning right now :)

I got off one photo, we weren't supposed to take photos but I turned the flash off on my phone and snapped this one. Just wanted to share with ya'll. http://yfrog.com/kl4qqmj

I have seen 5 ev shows now and this one was the best by a mile. It was the 'epic' of ev shows. He was in a great mood, told hilarious stories, was happy the tour is over... however he refused to wrap it up.

Loved the story of him emerging from the bushes.

Immortality was sick. The end of society was particularly intense. I am mine, man of the hour, slow lukin, ritfw, betterman, etc... it had the feel of one of those pj shows that wouldn't end. It also looked like ev was ready for some rockin pj shows.... however, he made it clear how happy he is to chill out for awhile in seattle. Open all night rocked! Needle and the damage done, great. Soon forget was good.

The crowd was more typical tonight with the yelling... but it wasn't out of hand.

Met some great people. Good preparty fundraiser. Grabbed a mccready bobblehead. Its a waste of money but this is the only way to justify this.... rock bottom is good. Love their ipa.

Great weekend in seattle. I will be back. Love this place.

    That was you?

Ed told a story of meeting a young lad in a coffee shop in Ireland back in 94-95. The lad (you?) approached him and asked if he could sit with Ed a while and chat. Ed was impressed with the jacket worn by the youngster. A black corduroy jacket - with a vespa patch. Pictures were taken and Ed left with the jacket and still has it to this day.

Ed then said that he only learned two weeks ago that the black corduroy jacket - with the vespa patch - actually belonged to one Glen Hansard. The guy Ed had met at the coffee shop was a cousin of Glen and had given away Glen's jacket to Ed some 15+ years ago.

Hope I did the story justice.
