I got off one photo, we weren't supposed to take photos but I turned the flash off on my phone and snapped this one. Just wanted to share with ya'll. http://yfrog.com/kl4qqmj
What a grand photo!
This night was a treasure trove of emotion, humor, gratitude, winding tales, and breathtaking performances. Truly a gift and a privilege to be there.
I was very pleasantly surprised. I had not been on here reading any of the other fan views, so I was not sure what to expect. The show blew away my expectations. Amazing. And Glen Hansard was awesome. One of the best opening acts I can recall.
Does EV do bootlegs? I did not see any in the Goods section, so I assume no, but I thought I would ask (he mentioned editing out one of his fuck ups and then took a bow for the fuck up, haha).

Great show last night in my opinion way better than night 1 and better then Portland. Crowd was more in to it had great seats. Had lots of fun at the preparty. At the end of the night finally got my Ed Pic i have been wanting for some time now have something from every memeber including both matt sticks from a show signed. I have never heard teh slwo version of lukin and i LOVED IT!!! Made my night and all the money spent well worth it see u all at PJ20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can honestly say that this was the best concert experience I've ever had in my life. Thanks to the kindness of another fan, upgraded to 3rd row center. Totally unexpected. Best sound and setlist, as you can see. Ed is like a ninja how he knows what we want to hear. Got Man of the Hour, which was my holy grail. Felt like an idiot, but cried when it started because I could not believe how the concert gods had smiled on me last night. Scored a pick which was just the topper of an already magical night.
Shout out to all the Wishlist folk. Laura and Eric, what a magical thing you all have created with the preparty stuff. I can say that seeing this band and Ed has become 50% music, 50% the friends I've met along the way. A great sense of community that I don't think you could ever explain to anyone until they feel it for themselves. As we all left last night I felt that sadness that makes me what to do it all again real soon. How about 6 weeks or so?
I am way too tired to write a review of this, but I'll just say that it was absolutely breathtaking, and even though the crowd messed up the "Oh"s after the first verse of porch, it was full of great performances (Immortality was indeed played, and was incredible). Great storytelling, great performances, great setlist.
The best part, though, was briefly getting to meet Eddie after the show, around 1:40 AM. Was anyone else there?
these fanviews are great!!!! great stories all around...sounds like a truly amazing night!!! someday...i'll catch an EV solo show. can't wait for Wisconsin!!!!
also... BIG thanks to Jose for relaying & to Adam for running the setlist thread! great job, guys!
Great night. Although i wasn't in the best seat in the house. Glen was like everyone else said a great opener, beatiful songs and good stories. Ed was amazing. Highlights for me were Immortality, Slow Lukin, Needle and the Damage Done, plus all the stories. The entire night was a highlight honestly. Much better than the NYC show i seen him play last month. Only downpoint i would say is that the posters were kinda ugly. After night 1 i was looking forward to a cool Seattle themed poster.

i wonder what Slow LUKIN w/ strings sounds like ~
ed and co. pleeease release these shows as bootlegs!!
Yes, please, we need these shows!!
I couldn't make it to night 2, I would have so loved to hear this setlist, and the fanviews make this show feel as epic as it looks. I'm not bitter though, night 1 was fabulous in its own way. Just get us some bootlegs and I'll sleep easier!

This night sounds amazing...actually the first I really think might have topped the Hartford experience for me...as my first ever, I have a very special place in my heart for THAT night. Thank you, Mr. Vedder, for a brilliant tour!
Best 4 hours of my life EVER!!!!!!!! A super long review tomorrow, thanks Ed!!!
and you got your Unthought Known!!!!
fantastic setlist!!!!

"Let's get it on"
I was really grateful to get tickets from the box office last minute, but sorry to miss GH's set and the story of how he and Eddie met. I didn't have the $ when the presale happened, and not really now either, but I'm sooo glad I sprung for it- soooo worth it. It was a little scary in the first row of the top balcony- I tried my best to rock out but not get too wobbly!
Highlights: Can't Keep- just the breaking of the anticipation and setting the stage, btw the stage itself was a highlight with the intimate feel and the lovely backdrops- ocean and sky, europe looking alley during the story of coming back home after an early Europe tour, the really pretty tent silhouette. Hey Fakah- cute talking a little as a dad a little Neil Young- I'll always regret missing NY on a solo acoustic tour a ways back, and this felt like confirmation for my not missing this. The vibe between the crowd and Eddie durring the storytimes was really warm and natural. A true homecoming show. Man of the Hour- I never cared that much about this one, but the performance last night was really powerful and moving. whole new appreciation, which carried over to I am Mine which I kind of felt the same way about.
Then into Into the Wild! my favorites, and just fantastic-
I did miss the banjo part, but it was really magical to hear LONG NIGHTS in person. GH was a great addition any time he came out. It was a little weird he never said anything ? All those songs and in a block like that- sounded great. LUKIN- WOW. a little revelation.
What a stand up guy to give George his credit when folks shouted out in the middle of a snafu, so gracious, calling April Cameron a better half to an already really great other half, and you could really feel the love for GH.
I remeber always looking so forward to tags- especially 'don't run away, don't run away, don't let me down', and even though I started off just ok with betterman, by the end of this one I was all whipped into a little delighted frenzy.
The comments toward Pete Townsend were really touching, about getting the message he so needed to pick himself up,from so far away, that he wasn't getting from his peers. He's got to know that's how so many of us feel about him, just a nice full circle kind of thing.
represent- west seattle! the vespa jacket story is actually amazing. all the banter was great. Eddie just going at it on a bunch of songs- so cool- with GH. I actually enjoyed the BS cover I didn't know, it was just very joyful. I did kind of miss Eddie dances, since he was so occupied and sitting. SOmetimes I also missed PJ.
Immortality was INCREDIBLE as was seeing porch like that and being able to participate. I liked it when somebody sang back unprompted (don't remember which song) and Eddie seemed grateful for it -to get it started for everybody.
Sleepless nights kind of blew my mind- a natural high, kind of unreal. It's the song that I woke up with in my head. My hubby loved Falling Slowly so that made me really glad.
The last encore was a great cap. A super generous long show, flashed by. just beautiful.
I couldn't make it to night 2, I would have so loved to hear this setlist, and the fanviews make this show feel as epic as it looks. I'm not bitter though, night 1 was fabulous in its own way. Just get us some bootlegs and I'll sleep easier!
I agree. It was tough to see several songs that I wanted to hear were played in Night 2 rather than Night 1 (Long Road, Man of the Hour, Immortality). But like you said, Night 1 had its own highlights (Millworker, back to back Cat Stevens and Beatles, Around the Bend, Walking the Cow). If I can buy a bootleg for both nights, then I'll be a happy man.

great setlist, annoys me that the people who first got tickets to the first show get a shorter show. Shouldn't we be rewarded rather then those who got tickets to the second, originally unannounced show?
Still seattle 1 was good, 2 looks better

Night 2's's are generally better than the first nights, IMO. Just something I've observed through listening to boots, looking at setlists, etc... And in this case, its not surprising that the tour closer would be one of the best, if not the best, show of the tour.
Anyway, it looks like you still got an amazing show in Seattle 1.

nice where did you see him?
Around the corner from the Artist's Entrance, at the back of Benaroya Hall where the loading dock type thing was. It was right across the street from the Triple Door, with no parking signs, a giant van, and the giant, sliding metal door. Ed came out of that metal door with his bodyguard and talked briefly with us and shook hands with everyone. I'd say 10-15.
A very special thank you for the girls from Pullman who convinced me to stick it out and snapped those pictures. Thanks for keeping the magic going.

so completely brilliant to have ed tell that story onstage..meetin him was the coolest moment of my entire life at that point ... to meet him again and him still have my jacket...unreal..
he's a gentleman and a huge light that we're lucky to have in our lives.
I'm really glad that last night's show was 'the best one'.
It was my first show, and I was trying so hard to get a pair this past week! I dragged my other half who was not so excited on going, and he had a really great time.
Went to the Wishlist party, but didn't 'meet' anybody...I'm kinda shy and everybody already seemed to know everybody else.
The box office was selling tickets and we got 4th row orchestra...I felt like I could have almost touched Ed when he was coming to the edge of the stage.
Loved the stories...didn't like the 'this is the last show on the tour, and might be for a long time' :(
Pleas please please release a boot of this show!
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
