I am way too tired to write a review of this, but I'll just say that it was absolutely breathtaking, and even though the crowd messed up the "Oh"s after the first verse of porch, it was full of great performances (Immortality was indeed played, and was incredible). Great storytelling, great performances, great setlist.
The best part, though, was briefly getting to meet Eddie after the show, around 1:40 AM. Was anyone else there?
I was there! Eddie was so kind and gracious. It was profound for me to be able to thank him. When someone creates something that changes the entire course of your life, you want to tell them and thank them. There exists this major disconnect when you aren't able to do that. I finally got that chance and it makes me feel at peace with so many things in my life. I'll never forget it.
It was also so awesome that the little crowd we were in was so respectful and had such a good vibe. I wish my friend and I had hung out with you all near the door. We got there pretty late and waited on the corner across the street. It seemed like a great group of people. Thanks for sharing the moment!
Most Sincerely,
Tawnya
My friend & I were there too! I'm still buzzing from last week, Eddie was so sweet! It was so worth the trip from Vancouver! It was a dream come true! Did anyone get any great pics or video from the meet? Would love to see them!
Thanks,
Sheila
In the moment, the last thing I could think of was getting a picture...but now I wish I had one since it would be such a precious memento to look back on. I think another poster in this thread may have one. I am hoping to hear back from him when he's able to share Either way, we all got so lucky to have been in that moment. It was truly awesome. When a friend asked if there was proof, I said "Yes, it's burned onto my retinas!"
MSG was definitely better. It is more unexpected in the rock concert setting. It also took everyone a minute to figure out what the hell was going on and then went nuts.
At least my experience at Benaroya was I knew what was happening at or before he even started.
I also cant put my finger on it, the sound is so amazing at Benaroya.... but the words came across much clearer at MSG.

I was there talking with you guys briefly before I went to grab a drink across the street. Then about 20 mins later when I went out to smoke a cig, I noticed Ed talking to you guys, casually walked over and ended up sharing the moment and a handshake as well. I don't know if you guys got to get your playbills signed or not, but in regards to that blonde woman (who's name I forgot and who may or may not be you) I remember how happy she was and the overall look of joy that was on her face as a result of her getting the meet she was hoping for. I remember telling her how happy I was for her and that she would remember that moment for the rest of her life. Great moment for her. Anytime you get to see someone so happy and in such a jovial state is a good memory in my book..........

That isn't me, but I absolutely agree with you. It wasn't just Eddie that made it so memorable. It was the entire vibe. Awesome night.
