Thanks so much everybody, I really appreciate it. She's stable so far this morning, gonna head out to see her after I make lunch and finish this bucket of coffee I just made. I'm kinda still in a state of shock so everything feels weird.

I can't imagine exactly what you're going through but I've been through something similar and to me it felt unreal. Like how could the rest of the world go on its merry way when my world had stopped.

I spent a couple hours with her this afternoon and talked with the doctor and pulmunologist. She seems to be responding to the meds and her vitals are staying stable which is a good sign. They may try to take her off the ventilator tomorrow but we'll see, it might be better to keep her on just so her lungs can rest. They took her off one of the sedatives so even though she was knocked out she could hear me talking and would squeeze my hand when I asked her. I hope she keeps going in this positive direction.

Yes, we are definitely heartened by it. I'm gonna go take my dad and sis out for dinner just to get our minds distracted for a little bit, and get fed too! Thanks for the hope, can never ever have too much

Thanks again so much everyone, it all must be helping because she's been doing pretty well. Still fighting the infection but no fever today, and she even opened her eyes and saw my sister and me. They still have her heavily sedated and with pain meds, and have decided against taking her off the ventilator tomorrow, which sounds like a wise decision. Would be worse to take her off of it if it was too soon.

Still is hard to see her like that, I have a picture of all of us on my desk here and she looked so healthy and happy. Hopefully she can get back to that someday.

Thanks guys! I really pray it does continue, I always get so scared of a setback, she's still in delicate shape.

My sis and I took our dad out to a local flea market this morning which really helped his spirits a lot, did for all of us I think, just to be out in the sunshine and do something positive. Needed the balance with everything going on for sure.
