I follow you...except for the "Pack = Packers Country." Haha. I think that refers to the camping that's been mentioned already.

If my records are correct, the last Tweet we received was about the Aussie EV tour, which was on November 10, 2010, and we didn't get specific dates until November 29, 2010 (approximately).

So maybe I missed it, but why are we assuming there will be an announcement, let alone a sale, this next week? I hope we figure out the tickets sooner than later, but history suggests we may be waiting a while. I sure as FUCK hope not.

    Any thoughts?

My memory seems to think that when shows are announced, in order to be eligible for 10c tickets your membership had to have been active as of midnight the day before. Since we've been told that we have until midnight tonight to ensure we have an active membership, it stands to reason that the announcement will come tomorrow....

Here's what I'm referring to...the Aussie Tour tweet:

"The little birdie stopped by and proclaimed in a deep bellowing voice,“I am the great and powerful Birdie!”
    “WTH?” we said.
“Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain,” declared the Birdie.
“One man stands alone?” we said.
“Tweet,” said Birdie before he flew away.

So, be sure your memberships and addresses are up to date by the end of this weekend or you’ll be singing the Scarecrow’s song."

We had to be current on our memberships by the end of the weekend, not the day before the announcement. Sale and official dates came almost 3 weeks later... I really hope that's not how they do it with this announcement; I'd love to know dates and sale times this week, but if the last tweet is any indication, it won't be this week.

We are all speculating, I hope it is at Bonnaroo farm, other's hope it is somewhere else. I think Bonnaroo would be the best venue because it has the potential to hold the most fans in a cool relaxed atmosphere where we would all be together the whole weekend. We all drive in, we all camp out together, hang out and see cool bands. At the end of the weekend we all drive out. No hassle of coming to and fro each night, no worries about designated drivers etc. it's all very easy- except for the getting there and getting out at the end, but thats the same anywhere.

Also an extremely important point, there is NO SOUND CURFUE at Bonnarroo. This is why you hear of epic sets being done there.. like My Morining Jacket's 4hour concert into the wee hours... I was there at it is bad ass to see bands just open up the horses and ride till the horse collapses. Good good time. I would imagine Pearl Jam would have played much longer at Bonnaroo if it wasn't for Kanye West coming up behind him. Even then they put him back a bit because they played long.

Also, I think there are over 400k members of the 10 club. Alpine Valley at 35k ish will mean not many of the 10 club will be able to get in. This all translates to not much of a cool venue to me at Alpine Valley. But again others may think Alpine is the greatest place to hear them. To each his own. The best part about all this is that we will all know soon....we hope.

What if, like totally, it's not, like, the Alpine Valley, but, like, it ends up being, like, the San Fernando Valley? That would be like, totally, awesome, and radical, right?! Whatever Wisconsin! Totes California!

I'm thinking announcement for the weekend and only some details. Maybe not the bands, but at least the place and dates. I can't imagine they are ready to sell tickets yet. I hope they can give us prices and what the intention of the sale is, like if they have a larger 10c allotment to help get as many people that want tickets have a good chance to be able to get them. That would alleviate a lot of our tension and stress.
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!

There aren't 400k active members anymore. That's from the beginning of the club, and those members that are still active are spread across the world. So to do a 10C show only with 35k people, in Wisconsin, would likely be the right number. Not saying it will happen, just that 35k would be reasonable, imo.
