Cheering? Why? To Whom? What for? (On Osama)

Hmm...I'm sure this won't be understood but I feel I need to write it down. I come in peace.

I find all of this cheering around Osama's death quite "funny". You are so happy as if the whole evil on this planet has been forever banished- instead it is your politics who is spreading it. Are you blinded by your internal and international politics and media...or maybe just in denial ?(it is much to handle...)

Without USA there would be no Bin Laden. It is USA who is always financing wars around the world and molding dictators with their double-standards and greed for resources. As long as those puppets play their game they can kill their local people and do what they want, no problems with morals, nothing. Then if they revolt, USA goes and sells weapons and all that is necessary to their enemies. How many wars were there in the name of democracy and peace? It's sad. And then I see people on TV waving American flags and shouting. Really sad. I am of course not supporting terrorism or any violence, but these cheers are like a pervert theater, you are no different then them, full of hate. But their countries are more and more messy, and they've got nothing to lose. The consequence is not just terrorism but the reign of fear and instability everywhere. I think it would be much better if you would just stop interfering. A lot of blame for the status quo is also on the hands of the corporations. Instead of asking why they act the way they do - you throw bombs. This way, nothing is going to change, it is just going to be worse and worse. But you go and wave that American flag, eat a hamburger, drink some Coke, watch some soap opera or royal wedding or what ever keeps you from thinking too much and have a nice day in your marvelous country of freedom and success. Sorry for sarcasm, but I feel like Americans as a nation are really easy to lead and you lack a lot of self-criticism.

Peace.

When you see folks in the middle east cheering for things like 9/11 on the news, do you think it's every citizen of every middle eastern country that feels that way? No. Thus, no one should project the actions of what, maybe 10,000-20,000 people last night, onto the entire population of Americans.

I would argue the vast majority of Americans feel just as awkward as you do that people were in the streets cheering death.

Don't let 3 continuous loops from your local news lead you to a conclusion about all Americans.

    Thank you.

Yes of course I didn't mean to generalize but unfortunately I do not know the names of the people on TV - so I must use some common denominator - which is Americans. But still I feel the majority of the country is not critical. Would love to be proven wrong.

i respect your right to express your viewpionts (can you do that in your country as free as you can in ours?)
Many criticize the US for getting involved in other countries issues, but many also criticize when we don't (darfur, etc.). It's a line we walk as powerful country. we are the world's big brother. Of course we make mistakes at times and do things that we shouldn't. but do you also give the US praise for it's efforts when tragedy strikes in other countries? We as a nation are the most generous in giving charity around the world.
for personal reasons i can say i am happy that we killed a man who was a mass murderer of innocent american's. may he rest if hell.

There is so much wrong with your post.

    1. We are blinded by politics and media? Where is your support? America is founded upon freedom of expression and ideas and many in this country do just that. We do not just accept what we hear. In fact, we do just the opposite.

    2. USA Supporting Wars around the world? Every nation has made some mistakes on where our money goes, but the US has done its best to eliminate evil dictators the past few years. We do not go to war for fun.

    3. Our Celebrations Are the Same As Theirs? They celebrate the death of innocent civilians and we celebrated the death of a maniac. We waited almost 10 years for this day and we have the right to celebrate. We all wish death was not necessary, but he took 3,000 of our people and he deserved to die. Throughout all of this everyone I know has remembered to stay respectful by realizing that not all Muslims are evil (in fact very very few are), remembering those who died on 9/11 and what all the families went through, and that we killing this one man will not end all our problems.

    4. Your sarcasm is highly disrespectful. Why did you feel the need to say eat your hamburger and watch soap operas to keep from thinking too much? You are not better than an American just because you would not celebrate Bin Laden's death so stop acting like you are. Americans do not watch tv so that we do not have to think you imbecile- it is a form of relaxation. I am sure you have past times that are not the most intellectual kinds as well.

    5. Your country has done nothing to stop global acts of terror.

Get of your high horse. I am embarrassed for you for posting this nonsense. But of course I am American so I accept the fact that it is your right to publish speech.
