Noah complaining about Garnett today, calling him a dirty player.

I don't know if I agree that Garnett is a dirty player. Granted I don't play against him, but the guy's just a trash-talking physical player. Nothing wrong with that. That's old school and competitive, and frankly is an edge the NBA has lost.

Garnett does what he does to push buttons and frustrate opponents, and clearly it's working. Noah has called him out before and then the whole Melo ordeal recently. It's his strategy.

Go on about your way KG. :corn:

Noah's just a little bitch... I can see that from here and I am 20,000km away...

KG is a beast... Yesterday was the first full game of the season that I watched. So hard to catch the NBA here... 3 or 4 games a week broadcast on pay tv. I wish it was more...

Perhaps. But it's his game and so many players just deal with it and move on. Play above that shit.

Apparently Larry Bird was one of the most brutal trash-talkers, yet I'd bet that no one bitched about being bullied by him on the court.

Too many players these days are acting like it's disgraceful to trash-talk and get in your opponents head. Part of the game, I say. Suck it up and play. Trash-talk and rough/dirty playing (within the boundaries of fouling) is part of basketball. What the fuck are you lacing up for? To get back-pats from your opponent?

you do realize what crossing the line means right? ... are you basically saying - in the spirit of the game, a guy can basically say anything to you and its ok cuz it's part of the game? ... it's ok to say derogatory things about someone's wife? ...

Of course I know what crossing the line means. I get what you're saying on that front, and there is a line to be crossed. I guess where the problem lies is that the line is different for everyone. We can't hear what KG is saying, so maybe he is saying some unnecessary shit... or maybe he's just talking basic competitive trash-talk and someone is sensitive enough to draw the line a lot sooner than others.

there is of course a lot of trash-talking in sports and i'm pretty sure basketball players have reasonably thick skins ... kg is a guy that a lot of people have said goes too far ... it's pretty well known ...

the lakers disaster is making things slightly easier on me as a sixers fan. not much. but i will grab at any straw i can find right now.

The Los Angeles Lakers have consistently turned away trade inquiries in recent weeks for All-Star center Dwight Howard and still believe they have a strong chance of signing him to a new contract when Howard becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, according to sources close to the situation.

But sources told ESPN.com this week the Lakers might be forced to reconsider that position between now and the Feb. 21 trade deadline because of Howard’s growing unhappiness with his role under coach Mike D’Antoni and the potential that raises for Howard leaving them in July without compensation.

Why don't both teams just solve their issues by trading Howard for Bynum straight up, get it done.

By the way, Golden State-Oklahoma City is shaping up to be a good one so far.

Going to nets/spurs tonight @ Barclays. My third trip there this season as my boss has season tix he passes my way from time to time :D

Free food at concessions and access to 40/40 which is nice.

    It's a cool arena.

I also heard, maybe DC the resident Jazz fan can shed light..... That Utah and SA will engage in a trade

    Utah gets
    Splitter
    Stephen Jackson
    Patty mills

    SA gets
    Al Jefferson

Chris Sheridan and a few other people think it will happen.... Sounds like we will get some good trades b4 deadline

Interesting game last night. No Duncan, Ginobli....Spurs down like 15 or so in 1st half and just killed em in the 2nd half. They are fun to watch imo...pass the ball well, shoot well...Parker is an assassin. Nets cant beat any good teams. Lopez is real good.

Supposedly they want Josh Smith from ATL.....I'd stay away. Barclay's is better and better each time. Had sick seats right where the Nets pop out of the tunnel.
