That had to be a pretty short discussion. 7 rings is nice but 100% of people remember Charles Barkley as having a better career.

I feel that rings aren't the end-all-tell-all when judging a career. Barkley had a huge presence on the court when he played, and like Malone, didn't win a ring, but is easily one of the best in history.

Robert Horry as talented for sure, but he was a key piece to something that was already running well when he won his rings.

    The two rings with Houston
    The rings with the Lakers
    The rings with the Spurs

If we judge simply by the number of rings, then that means Andrew Bynum, Luke Walton, and Darko Milicic have already had better careers than the likes of Karl Malone, John Stockton, Reggie Miller, Steve Nash, Allen Iverson, and Charles Barkley... which is a fucking absurd statement.

The Clippers are on a 14 game winning streak and could come to SLC on Friday with a 15 game streak.

Talk about a complete 180 from their known history.

Glad to see a new king in town over there in LA-LA land. Refreshing for the league if ya ask me.

Great insight as to why Jazz fans may want to begin rooting for the Jazz to lose (I realize that the only Jazz fans here are myself, imalive, and Pap, but still a good read):

Granted I don't have a great perspective on MLB, but doesn't the league suffer from a similar problem as the NBA where the teams with a lot of money and big markets kind of rule the field?

and depending on your level of baseball purism, there's the PED angle too.

nope. look at the playoff teams last year. most were middle/lower spending teams. big spenders like philly, boston, anaheim, LAD didn't make playoffs.

more parity in MLB than any other sport
