Something to note: Golden State was never played at either of the DC shows...I wonder if that's a misprint or if they are using a recording of Golden State from a different show on the DVD
I think it was played for the first time in Baltimore the following summer -- I wonder if Brendan took the short trip up 95 and filmed a bit at that show.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE 4 SHOWS I WENT TO and the boots i've heard was Porch..too bad it won't be there or millworker..or the redone betterman..oh well...

What makes me laugh is how you make dvd out to be such poor quality. Its really not. Yeah blu-ray is superior but dvd quality isn't all that bad. Do you not own any dvds then?
It is poor quality if you are comparing it to blu-ray. Of course I own DVD's, however I haven't bought one in 3 years and never will again. I never said DVD was horrible, it is just vastly inferior and there is no reason to not put it out in blu-ray. Hey if you want to spend $25+ on a DVD go for it. I will get it for free from netflix. It's the same way as I stopped buying VHS tapes once I had a DVD player.
Dude, I don't know you nor do I have any desire to go back and forth with you, but you sure do incite or stir up a lot of unnecessary bickering and never-ending arguments about shit that doesn't amount to a hill of beans and is totally pointless. I'm glad you have others willing to spar with you but not me.
+1
I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one who is tired of all your bickering/know it all attitude.

I frequent the same fabric store that Ed buys his hot pad fabric at and I ran in to him this morning, ironically. I mentioned the building controversy surrounding his refusal to give some of the more "particular" fans the extra pixels they've lived their life so well as to be deserved in blu-ray format and he said that he understood and was considering a move to add a last minute track to the whole CD/DVD package as a kind of peace offering. It may be a cover song, but I think it will kick ass..

Probably because Porch and Betterman are more of a 'PJ songs'? But yeah, definitely highlight/heart of the show. I was in awe just watching Eddie performing it.
This is going to be incredible. I'm super excited. And Arc? Amazing!

Blu-Ray versions of some movies wouldn't be outselling their DVD version
Name One title'?
The funny thing is anything shot with a Flip HD ultra will have better picture quality on youtube than the actual DVD will.
That depends on your definition of quality. What's the bitrate and compression rate for the flash-files on youtube compared to a DVD? And DVD is a format from the middle of the 90's, but still a very well crafted format if you ask me. Spoiled movielovers forever that format in a way VHS/LD hadn't. And a film doesn't load for 30seconds like a BD title, it doesn't need firmware upgrades and all catalouge titles are at least not plauged with the teal&orange sickness like on BD But it's not a question ofc that there is no competition between a perfect BD and a perfect DVD in quality - but I could also understand why people would settle for DVD.
Ofc, an option of bluray would have been great. But it's not being included is not a reason for me not buying the DVD. For everyone not seeing the difference in resolution between a BD and a DVD - that is great (or sad) for you. But you can't deny that there is a different impact when you're working in a larger resolution (if the source supports it which in this case it obviously does).
Though. From watching that "you're true" video this DVD doesn't seem all that fancy shot. So I would rather have a full blown Pearl Jam Concert on BD than an accoustic eV show. The DVD will work fine for me.
A BD could also have had the audio in lossless etc, but I have never had problems with the quality of a good DTS/DD mix on DVD.
