It would be nice, but I don't see that happening. This PJ20 weekend is big enough that it should be its own announcement, rather than being just a part of a larger tour announcement. I may be wrong, but that's my $0.02.

I don't know.. I'm really not sure they want this to be a festival based on this week's AET. Sounded to me like Tim realized that we're all thinking of it as a festival, where it in fact may just be a few shows in a row at a place the band likes a lot (ie. Alpine Valley), in honour of the 20th anniversary. Anyone else feel this may be the case?

Based on the rumours that have been reported so far, I would say that we are looking at a short 8 show tour with no shows east of Montreal (I hope I am wrong on that one).

Here is what we seem to have coming our way: Montreal, Toronto x 2, London, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver.

Sure is! That would be 3 easy shows to get to plus Montreal...

Tuesday concert announcement is The Tragically Hip. Sorry Edmonton folks....we will have to wait awhile longer apparently.

I promise though, the guys are coming near the end of September ;)

Sure, rub it in jerks :P
my km travelled/number of shows ratio is ridiculous. Is there a more isolated million+ city anywhere in the world than Edmonton? ugh..yes, Saskatoon PLEASE! That's only five hours for me

I get excited for a Canadian tour when I think of the seats I've had in the past. In Toronto 03, I was at the back of the floor at the amphitheatre...same member number gave me WAY better seats in 09...For the 05 Canadian tour, I had row 7 in Calgary, row 4 in Edm, and row 2 in saskatoon...if my seats get better this time.... :!: :!: ...Im a happy kid. My seats were nowhere near that good in Van, the Gorge, NYC etc....I guess that's the one bonus of bein so far from the US ;)

Ok here is some food for thought.

Toronto Film Festival is in September.
Cameron Crowe`s Pearl Jam 20 is due out in September
Pearl Jam is playing Toronto in September

I'm going to go out on a limb and say PJ will play Toronto during TIFF so they can go to the gala premier of Cameron Crowe's movie. Thoughts??

Yeah it has pretty much already been established that the TIFF will be the starting point, and basically the whole reason to do a bunch of shows in Canada.

film festival is sept 8-18, so I would guess that toronto is sept 17/18 with pj20 being shown on sept 16

Those dates seem fairly accurate to me.

Winnipeg Sept 20th, Edmonton Sept 23, Calgary either the 22 or 24th?

That leaves room for a Sask show 8-)
You guys are gonna have the whole itinerary figured out before they announce it.

Speaking on behalf of those who did Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, that's a tough stretch. I have no idea how the crew managed to pull it off :o I think they will skip Sask and take their time getting to either Edm or Calg out of respect for their crew knowing how difficult it must have been last time.

That said, first row center seats, getting Mike's t-shirt and an autographed towel from Ed in Saskatoon will never be matched again. My favourite setlist of the ten shows I've seen ;)

Where was September 15th mentioned in the paper? They played Montreal on September 15, 2005. It may have been an old article.
