Do you mean Southern Canada or South America? Because, they are going to tour in South America this winter.
I mean the southern United States of America, you know Florida, Texas, the Carolinas, Georgia.... you know that area of their own country that Pearl Jam has ignored since 2003?
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

Yes. I know all these cities. I thought you were talking about Latin America.

I'm going to agree with someone who posted earlier in that I won't consider any tour in the future a 'Canadian' tour until they come to the Maritimes....
I mean, c'mon, that's 4 f'n different provinces to choose from...
Actually, that's three provinces to choose from... Technically speaking Newfoundland is not part of the Maritimes...
That being said I know a lot of people at home that would love it if they went back there (although i don't think it make sense for any band to tour there....)
PS.
PLAY THE SOUTH!!!
When I lived out west I always had to explain the Maritimes aren't the same as the Atlantic provinces. I am from PEI and I had a co-worker say I was "from the Rock" :?

Regardless, let's hear some PJ news
hmmmm....guess I have that western ignorance too, I didn't know that
What the hell is the difference tho?
I read this and it didn't help me figure that out at all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maritimes
YES! Announce some shows so I can plan my damn summer already!

Well I am not saying you have it I am sure there is plenty I don't know about out west as well
Well it is a very small difference but you know that Easterners are a stubborn lot. The Atlantic provinces are the Maritime provinces including Newfoundland...where the maritimes are just PEI, NS & NB. Like I said we just like to bitch about stuff

Be grateful you're not lumped in with the Newfies - you'd have the rest of the country making fun of you as well!

Canada in September: Mudhoney will tour Canada with Pearl Jam in September. They will play at least Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. There may be Mudhoney-only gigs interspersed in between (such as in Toronto).

Awesome! And there is no chance that they go from Toronto to Vancouver without a couple of shows in between...

Molson Amphitheatre again please . . . it should still be nice enough in September for an outdoor show. Amphitheatres make much better concert venues than arenas in my opinion..........
...and of course another stop in Ottawa would be much appreciated . . c'mon, it's right in between Montreal and Toronto! Why do so many acts skip over the capital?

Are you serious????? The Ampitheatre is possibly the worst venue in the city. Everything about that place is bad. Here's to hoping that the timing of these shows before hockey and basketball season starts means that they will be at the ACC.

I am serious! I just love the atmosphere in the Amphitheatre . . maybe I haven't been to enough events there (only 2 PJ shows), but I have enjoyed it much more than any arena concert, that's for sure, but that's just me. I did notice that the sound was pretty bad though for their last show there....

1. There has been rumours of shows in 7 different cities, all 7 are Montreal and east.
2. It seems like the tour is feeding off of the TIFF, which means that either Toronto-->Montreal--> west makes sense or Montreal--->Toronto-->west.
3. Based on touring trends of the band since 2007, I really don't see them doing a full Canadian tour with 15 shows spanning 10 provinces.
I could be wrong and I hope I am because I would love to travel to Halifax for a show in September...
