    Hello,

I'm considering getting tickets for the shows in canada. Travelling all over from France, which part of Canada would you recommand me? Which city do you think it's worth going to to see Pearl Jam?
I would do Montreal and Toronto, and if there's a day off, stop in Ottawa in the middle for a day! PM me, I'm from Ottawa and have lived in Montreal!

    This is good advice

I agree as well. Montreal and Ottawa are beautiful cities....Toronto I can do without

On the original topic, with Mudhoney opening, I guess that ruins my hopes of seeing The Gaslight Anthem open for PJ

I agree on the set-up of the Amphitheatre being a disaster to negotiate however, for the show in 09' I was 7 rows back in section 200 with my 255XXX membership and in 06' that number gave me 27 rows back on the floor at the ACC. Amphitheatre is better for my membership in terms of seating, now if they would give me the first few rows side stage at the ACC I would be quite alright. Not that I am bitching, no need for that I'll gladly take what the Ten Club gives me!

you're very near the cutoff for side stage...i'm 260xxx and got first row side stage in 2006 (night one)..

  • Depending on the date of the show there could be one major drawback to the Amp....THE COLD!!!

The temp drops the closer you get to October. Last year it dropped as soon as Labour Day was done.

I agree the fanclub seats are better though.

Yeah, you can reasonably do most of the 'important' things in Ottawa in a day as well, then either hop on a cheap flight to TO or train/bus down the day of the show (4-5 hours).

I'm with you. Vancouver is awesome. And it's close enough to Seattle to go check out PJ's home. Toronto, however, is closer to....a lot of stuff! Niagra Falls, Ottawa, and a short flight from a lot of cool Eastern US cities. Montreal too, but I haven't beent there since I was a kid so I can't comment much about it.

Pumped for Mudhoney! I hope this tour hits AB with them in support, I've never had a chance to catch them!

I had the chance to see them live last year. They were incredible. Believe me, you are not going to regret it.

Just spoke to a friend who said the dj on the Bear, when telling ppl to tune in for the announcement, mentioned that it was rumoured/leaked to be PJ, but he wasn't supposed to say that...! Second hand info, but this has to be it!

The most interesting part about all of this is that the timing (if true) would mean that the Canadian tour will be announced BEFORE PJ20 in all likelihood (unless PJ20 is also announced on the same day) ...

I wouldn't have guessed that in a million years...

Haven't heard anything while listening to Sonic as of yet and usually The Bear and Sonic pretty much go hand in hand.

I'm guessing, tweet telling us to get memberships ready and then on Monday or Tuesday getting an official announcement from 10c with presale starting Wed or Thurs. If we don't hear anything from 10c today then I don't think the concert announcement on The Bear is related...

The Bear isn't going to make any announcement on speculation or rumour. They will have to be given the go ahead from PJ and promoters etc.

Guess all we can do is wait and see as usual ;)

  • Looking forward to my Pearl Jam fix later this summer. Would be great to have you guys back in Hamilton, but a show at the skydome (Rogers Centre) would be pretty neat..
