This is great news! I was just thinking how quiet the Canada rumours have become lately, so it is great to hear this. Also great to hear it about a city that has not been specifically mentioned before.

To my knowledge we've now heard specific rumours for Toronto, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Lets hope the East Coast gets some love too (and Montreal).

The East Coast could use some lovin!
    Toronto - 2009
    Hartford - 2010
    Ed Solo - Hartford - 2011
    Toronto X 2, Ottawa & Hamilton - 2011
    Ed Solo - Jacksonville - 2012
    London, Pittsburgh & Buffalo - 2013
    No shows in 2014 :-(

So just to poke a sleeping baby, should we ASSuME that a PJ20 festival announcement is soon to follow?

If Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto are getting mentioned, I'm sure there will be a show for Calgary too, and with any luck the boys come "runnin' back to Saskatoon".
  • How about after PJ20, Pearl Jam can do a "One and Done (or Never)" tour, playing two nights in all of the states they've only played once or never? Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Maine, Vermont, Heck, throw in New Hampshire, Delaware, who else am I missing? (Arkansas, they've played there twice, 3 times if you count Ed solo for WM3 benefit)
Ed...buddy...pal...stay true to your word and play Boise again.

    Seattle, 12.7.93
    Salt Lake, 6.21.98
    Mountain View, 10.30.99
    Mountain View, 10.31.99
    Boise, 11.3.00
    Portland, 9.26.09

I've got friends lining up for my 10C spare in my hometown, but I told my 7 yr old her first concert would be PJ if they ever came here.....she totally lit up when I told her about the rumours (then we watched TB2K 8-) )
My number snagged me row 4 last time they were here...Could be an AMAZING memory for her...so excited, fingers crossed that it happens!
What is your home town? Winnipeg?
    I'm in Edmonton.
And YES apeman77! Saskatoon would be awesome again...not TOO far for me, and I got my best seats ever there in 05...Remote/less desirable vacation destination ( :P ) = less americans = better seats!

My ideal summer would be to roadtrip Calgary/Saskatoon with friends, see an Edmonton show with my daughter, (hopefully with a weekend in there to reduce days off)....then a four/five day vacation for PJ20fest. Depending where the festival is, that could mean five shows for about what it cost me to see them twice in NY last year, or twice in the south in 08.
I've said it here a million times; you easterners (esp Eastern US) don't know how good you have it when it comes to seeing multiple shows...any show I can drive to (even if I need a hotel), is a gift.
  • As long as it's before September 19th! I would love to hit a MTL>Ottawa>Toronto swing.

I hope I am wrong here but I would be surprised to see them ever hit Ottawa again. And that's sad considering that the Ottawa 05 show was one of the best shows I have been to...

Same, I would love it, my hometown and my first show ever.

I could see a possible Bluesfest appearance. Not this year, but at some point.
