    New M5 teaser!

    Soooo short, but soooo sweeeet...

M5's are always benchmark, always amazing. I can't wait!

They say it's running around 575-600hp, V8...I will however miss the current V10.

    I drive an 2002 Audi A4 sport.

For me an Audi covers most of my wants in a vehicle.

Does it have a nice interior? Yes
Does it look nice on the outside? Yes, especially for a car that is almost 10 years old.
Does it handle well and is it quick? Yes
Does it handle in snow and ice? Yes, the quattro with 4 studded nokian's handle better than any car I've owned from Subaru wagons to Toyota Tacoma's.
    NERDS!

Silver 2001 Mercedes CLK AMG convertible. I've had it up to 140, I plan on burying the needle at 160 this summer.

I'm married to a car guy. Maybe I could start a thread for the car guy widows? ;)

Funny you talking about how there isn't a thread dedicated to cars. About 2 weeks ago I almost started one. My husband sold the 66 Volvo P1800 that he'd owned since 1983. It got me to thinking about how sentimental we are about our cars, even giving them names. I was curious if other people are like that.

Yup. My mini is named Stella, after the beyond gorgeous character Charlize Theron plays in the Italian job.

damn, i thought you named her after illegal pants ;)

i have a 2000 Subaru impreza and i love her, she's a soft yellow colour and i'm thinking about getting the number plate 'EVENFL0'

Good choice on the Audi, bad choice with the studded tires. You're tearing the crap out of the road!

I prefer the supercharged Mini simply because its less refined. Stiffer clutch, notchier gear box, (although its no e46 M3) harsher ride, and a supercharger whine that you can never get sick of. But then again Im only 22, so Id rather be driving in a loud stripped down track car than a Cadillac.

About Porsches, the only Porsches I've driven were the 968, which was the car I was supposed to get, and the 944 which was my last car that I ended up with. So you can say my Porsche driving experiences arent exactly "proper". (I dont care what anyone says though, the 968 is BEAUTIFUL) I dunno I just happen to like the 996, but not the facelift ones.

the only known "problem" I read about the ZHP 3 series was a sloppy idle due the more aggressive cams. (The engine on those are actually tuned by Alpina) But as with any german car, you gotta take car of them. Hell my 944 was bought with 69k miles and sold with over 90k. The only problems it had was a leaky head gasket and something else major went on it the first week I bought it but was fixed under dealer warranty. Very reliable for me.

I have an '05 Cooper S which I absolutely love. I begs to go into turns, compared to other cars that you feel like you are pushing and fighting through turns. My town has a lot of roundabouts, which is nice. The curve of my Mariners Pearl Jam sticker fits nicely over the arc of the rear wiper. I love the whine, too, and I'm 41.

I’ve been driving my first and only car for almost 10 years now, it’s a mid 80’s Toyota Sprinter. I’ve lost count the amount of times I’ve been followed into car parks by guys wanting to buy it off me, they want to use it for drifting..... hmmm maybe I should get into drifting

I sold my Jeep a few years ago when gas got up to $4/gallon because I just couldn't afford the commute. I miss that brown bitch. My VW doesn't handle the mud quite the same (despite my best efforts).

My boyfriend needs to win the lotto and buy this for me!

really? you people are nuts. you could do the conversion on a brand new jeep for about the same. why would you buy a 7-8 year old ride for the price of new?

    it's a 25K ride at best

    yes I seriously would

I'd love to do that to my jeep and hope over the years I will get that done . I had a 97 dodge stratus before I got into a near death accident back in 09(great story that is) and just loved getting up to 75 like it was nothing. With my jeep I don't get that same rush and I miss that rush/feeling badly.

I heard they were gonna make a new bargain Porsche less expensive than the boxster months back. It was going to be mid engined as well.

Anyway now that this thread is revived all I have to say after getting a job valeting cars is that I hate trucks and SUVs even more than I did. How anyone can live with those heaps of shit is beyond me. Theyre (escalades) a sad excuse for luxury, ride like complete shit, obnoxiously huge, made of plastic inside and out, cant even go off road despite that's what they were originally made for, designed for gold digging wives, horrible in every automotive aspect (gas, handling, performance) and of course just heaps of shit.

so much hate for the truck...

it's easy to live with a truck....once you accept it's not going to drive like a sports car, although i do drive a couple of corners around here hard.

it's great when you are going to the store and need to carry something large home.

The only "truck" I like is a wrangler. And I actually like them quite a bit

If and when you become a home owner, you will have a better appreiation for trucks. For example, yesterday i moved a half ton of top soil.
