Sometimes resumes opening duties (4th time of the tour) here, it's a really lovely version. Breakerfall and Corduroy combine brilliantly, both having an edge to them. The start of God's Dice is much better than in Cardiff but overall it doesn't have the same intensity as Breakerfall & Corduroy. The early tempo is pegged back by Nothing As It Seems, Given To Fly and Evacuation. Alive is again relatively early in the set and Pilate is again given another play, this time though it's not as good as the Cardiff performance. It's a strong performance of Insignificance, probably the best of the tour so far. The outro of Daughter has an eery feel to it and Ed then tags in Tom Waits' Hold On. In Hiding is excellent. The heavy hitters of Even Flow & Rearviewmirror close out the main set.
The first encore starts off with a trio of fast tempo songs in Hail Hail, Go and Once. Small Town appears more laid back than normal. Fuckin' Up closes the encore. They return for one more in the form of Yellow Ledbetter.
Enjoyed the main set but the encore didn't hold up for me.

So I'm reliving Leeds if you have the boot please play along...During Present Tense...I need some help on deciphering WTF Ed says after
"Have you an idea on how this life ends? Checked your hands and studied your lies..."
Minuteman deep wound? Minuteman D Boone?
I thought he said the latter: some kind of tribute to D Boone??? nothing about Present Tense brings to mind the minutemen for me though. I was confused too.

I was three people back at this show wearing a UMASS tee shirt. They are the Minutemen. I guess the world doesn't revolve around me. Thanks for trying lolo.
09/22/1998 - My very first Pearl Jam concert was also my very first concert in general, in West Palm Beach, Florida at Coral Sky Ampitheatre. Memorable moments include a big shooting star right over the stage during Wishlist and Eddie taunting hurricane George.

They were pushing and shoving like it was 1995 down there. The 29 year old me probably could have dealt with it a lot better than the 48 year old me, but there is something to be said for being a sturdy full grown man...as far as an amazing experience goes, it was WAY up there on the list of stuff I've witnessed.
Even though I'm late to the party, I've, for no reason at all, picked some pretty good shows (my first show was BRISTOW!) to be at...Memphis is NEXT.
BRISTOW was a great experience.... weird set and some strange banter(at least strongly worded) from Ed. have fun at Memphis. I have a feeling it will be another good one.

I've see a few mentions of the current tour in this thread, and there seems to be an unusual absence of audience recordings of recent shows floating around. Perhaps I was just spoiled by last fall, and most of the Euro tour this summer, where recordings were showing up everywhere, sometimes within 24 hours of the show. (BTW; I am aware of the St. Louis show available for your listening pleasure :P )

You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
