Universal City 1, 2009. A setlist that opens with Why Go and includes Tremor Christ, Present Tense, Porch and Red Mosquito cannot be bad. Great poster too.

I have to devote more time to these 2009 bootlegs (as well as all the others.....)!

That gig really disappointed me, bootleg wise anyway. The crowd was a bit tame to say the least, and the performance is kinda sloppy. The poster is very cool, the setlist was nice, and Why Go as an opener just kills so good. BUT, with the aforementioned problems the show was a letdown. Universal City 2 was the best out of the 4, and hardly ever gets mentioned.

This show could have been a letdown after the previous high of Newcastle a couple of days before but it is a very good boot.

Small Town opens and early in the set God's Dice and Once are excellent. Ed delays the vocals on God's Dice so there is a nice little intro that doesn't normally happen. Immortality is next and its just immense, that trio of songs is really good. Some nice guitar work on Army Reserve and before that song the crowd are chanting 'let Stone sing'. Ed says its a democracy so they'll think about it in the next session! Unusually Instellar Overdrive/Corduroy ends the main set.

Man Of The Hour opens the 1st encore and Ed throws in a No Woman, No Cry tag before Betterman (also changing the lyrics to No Babies, No Cry in honour of new parents). In the 2nd encore the crowd gets their wish and Stone sings for Don't Gimme No Lip. Stone remarks that Ed is sick as a dog but you'd never know this without Stone telling us. Sad is dedicated to a couple of fans in the crowd, Jeremy gets an unusual slot as the penultimate song and Baba O'Riley ends what is a very good show.

I absolutely love Eddie's voice from the Yield era. Never sounded better before or since! He's got the voice of God.

Berlin 2 2012. Any show with "In Hiding" and "Sad" is a winner for me.

awesome show! I was listening to this one the other day; love the mamasan trilogy. This has to be one of the few shows in 92 when they didn't play evenflow.
