Trying to decide which show to listen to on my flight to Chicago. Want something haven't heard before. I've compiled a list over the last couple of weeks so should decide soon so I can load em up and be ready. Choices are

Sometimes kicks this one off followed by Instellar Overdrive & Corduroy. The Fixer is next, debuting in Europe. Ronnie Wood then joins the band for a cracking version of All Along The Watchtower. Next is an excellent run of Dissident, Severed Hand, Given To Fly, Low Light, Even Flow and Present Tense. An ok Save You follows and then its Down and Small Town before Brother gets played in Europe for the first time ever. Evolution and a 2nd attempt at Got Some (after ballsing up the intro) end the main set.
Starting the 1st encore, Ed debuts The End before the rest of the band comeback for Inside Job, Better Man and Alive. For the 2nd encore they start off with Soldier Of Love and then follow with State Of Love And Trust. Simon Townshend joins onstage for The Real Me but there is a delay of 3-4 minutes whilst his guitar has to be tuned up!!! Once his guitar is back working its a good version and then the show ends with Yellow Ledbetter.
Cracking little boot this and must have been amazing to see PJ in this venue.

Nice easy start with Small Town, then launching into Last Exit and Animal. The Fixer then follows. Dissident gets another airing, 3 shows in a row as does Brother. Gone is then played for the 1st time on the tour. Excellent performances of Even Flow, Wishlist and Nothingman are next. Despite loving 1/2 Full, this isn't a good performance of the song. Black excels, Got Some has a dodgy start but this time they don't abort it and Go brings a great end to the main set.
Life Wasted kicks off the 1st encore followed by Betterman with Save It For Later tagged on the end. Start of Daughter is missed by Ed otherwise it’s a good performance. Lukin and Comatose, making it a bit of a disjointed encore. Alive ends the 1st encore.
Ed starts the 2nd encore with The Beatles You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away. Love Reign O’er Me is next. Not a huge fan of this one live, as is the norm the timing between Ed singing and the band coming in is missed. The middle part is decent enough but Ed’s last notes at the end are pretty bad. Evolution resumes proceedings. As with the previous 2 shows, it’s the Real Me and Yellow Ledbetter to end the gig.

Thanks man - great to see you pop up back in here, haven't seen too many reviews from you recently and always enjoy seeing your objective opinions and bootleg expertise.
Formerly living in Richmond, I REALLY wish I could have made it back out there for that Charlottesville show, but it just doesn't match up with my schedule in October. Charlottesville is such a beautiful place, especially that time of year. I really do think that show is going to end up being the dark horse and better shows of the entire tour.....just a feeling I have. Enjoy it man!
I was lucky enough to score Seattle, Dallas, and OKC. Can't tell you how pumped I am to make my first visit to Seattle and see PJ on the last show of the tour. They ALWAYS are tight and have some of their best shows on the last gig of the tour, which usually make great boots as well. And it's in Seattle of all places.

Like you, I believe latter parts of a tour tend to produce better shows when the legs are as short as these. The boys usually take about 5-7 shows before they get tight. Im glad both Va. and NC are around 9 or 10 shows in. My expectations for both setlist and crowd are a bit higher for Charlottesville over Charlotte, but we will see. I can only imagine how excited you are for those 3 gigs, especially Seattle. I'd love to see them there one day, but here in southwest Virginia that's a helluva drive and costly flight. I actually didn't know you had won three shows, just knew you couldn't make Charlottesville. So, that's great to know you'll hit three!
As far as boots, like we all tend to do, I had to take a short break. I've been slightly getting back into the groove, listening to Torino 2006 now. Love that gig, really really tight show. In ways the production and mix of the boot is better than that of Avocado. So when I wanna listen to avocado in its entirety, I go for Torino. Anyways, I'll put some reviews up in the near future and I hope you have a ball at wrigley. Im sure it will be epic.

Great start with Why Go, Hail Hail, The Fixer and Corduroy. I Am Mine and Nothing As It Seems slows things down before the tempo is upped again with Untitled/MFC, a great God's Dice and Even Flow. Light Years makes a rare appearance, the intro extended while trying to get the beat right. Ed is in a jovial mood throughout the gig and this shows after Glorified G when he says "that was written by one of our previous drummers. Only thing is he doesn't know he wrote it!". For the 4th show in a row Brother is played and then Insignificance (a song that I struggle to enjoy nowadays) and Evolution close the main set.
1st encore starts with Jeff and Ed playing Bee Girl, Ed confessing they wanted to rehearse the song before the gig but were unable too. Ed then asks the crowd to take over for Better Man and they duly do so. Hard To Imagine is played for only the 3rd time ever in Berlin and Alive finishes the encore. 2nd encore starts with a very brief rendition of Angie by Ed before playing Small Town. A blistering Faithfull is up next followed by Sonic Reducer and Rockin' In The Free World with Yellow Ledbetter to end the show.

So much love for Atlanta 12 lately. Glad folks are enjoying it. A tame predictable setlist, but such a professional tight performance. Great sounding boot too.
