Copenhagen 12. A great bootleg. Small town isn't the most exciting opener, but it set a good tone for the show. A vibe is created by the setlist flow that is different from others on that tour. There is an abundance of mid tempo songs instead of hard punk rockers. A fairly tight performance, although Smile was a absolute mess. Bootleg is mixed quite nicely, sounds wonderful and punchy.

First time I listened to this was last year a few days after the Manchester gigs and I never really got into it. Decided to revisit it. On paper this looks a great setlist but I'd say the flow & performance doesn't match. All Or None to start looks good but Ed flubs it halfway through. The first few bars of Sad sound strained and not quite right. In Hiding is great, the crowd on form here. I'm Open into Wishlist is nice and I always love hearing Undone. Off He Goes is superb, again the crowd on form taking over vocals briefly. Always love hearing God's Dice and Rats is cool. Gone is pretty good too, definitely benefiting from being played in a small venue IMO.
In the 1st encore Inside Job doesn't sound quite right and then Matt misses his queue on the drums when the band kicks in on "How I choose to feel...". Lowlight is excellent and a fairly poor Love Reign O'er Me ends the 1st encore.
For the 2nd encore they start with Comatose and then Matt takes over vocals for a cover of Kiss' Black Diamond which they have to restart after messing it up. After restarting it's good and a storming Sonic Reducer ends the 2nd encore. The band come back out for one more, with Ben Harper joining them for Indifference. I must admit I prefer it when he doesn't join them for that song!
Some good points on this boot but it's nowhere near a classic, far too many mistakes for that.

Love this boot, heard it a few times and it always gets me. A good fun show to start the tour and a excellent setlist for a festival - I was actually surprised when I realised it was a festival show!
Energetic start with Why Go and All Night before going into Dissident. Next is first plays for The Fixer and Got Some. Severed Hand, Unemployable and Even Flow follow. There is then a cool little intro before they launch into Rats. WMA is tagged onto Daughter with Evolution and Alive to finish the main set.
1st encore starts with Better Man before they play Brother for the first time since 1991. I think this version should get played more often. Black is next and then an excellent Spin The Black Circle ends the encore.
After informing the crowd there is a strict curfew but they've been told they can play a few more songs the band go into Crazy Mary. Next up is The Real Me and then its Yellow Ledbetter to close the show.

Four songs in, and it's been a pretty damn good start to the show! Loved NAIS as the opener.
And I planted my bolo knife in the neck of mad John Finn. I took his wretched life.
Now I'm over near the bandstand, every hand moving on John Finn's wife...
portugal 1 2006. i think this crowd is only topped by argentina. what a show! The band is in great spirits and like I said the crowd...wow. great show. I have to see pj live here one day.
