San Diego 7/7/2006. I have listened to this boot countless times and it is one of my favorites. One of the best (maybe the best) of the 2006 tour. Can't go wrong with "Oceans" opening up the show. One of my favorite versions of "Better Man" on here and it is a killer version, with a "Save It for Later" tag. Follow that with "Satan's Bed" and a couple songs later... "YOU ARE!!!" After that, "Life Wasted." The first set ends with the always great "Rearviewmirror."
Then we have what I consider to be the best encore of any Pearl Jam show:
"Long Road" with the great story about Eddie's high school.
Come Back
Small Town
A blistering version of "Crazy Mary" with the always wonderful and entertaining face off between Mike and Boom.
Crown of Thorns!
And to end it off: "Alive"
The second encore consists of "Comatose" and "Leash" and then they brought out Kelly Slater to play on "Rockin' In the Free World."

I'm not the biggest fans of the 2009 boots because of the quality/mixing I feel is poor compared to other years, but I enjoy this boot. You can certainly tell Ed enjoys being back in his hometown and we get to hear a lot of stories and memories of his as a kid, and he talks a lot about Chicago as expected.
A nice an easy start to the show opening with Long Road, and then they go busting right into Corduroy, Why Go, Gods' Dice, and the always great Dissident - which is a ripping version with Ed introducing Mike before they start it. The energy is brought down a bit with Elderly Woman next, which is then immediately brought back up followed by Sad, The Fixer, and Given To Fly. We then get another great performance of Come Back followed by Even Flow, Save You, and In Hiding. Man Of The Hour then makes the only appearance of 2009 and for the first time in 3 years (this was also the last show it was played before Missoula last year). The main set closes with a punk-type finish with Insignificance, Got Some, and Spin The Black Circle.
The first encore is pretty short and 2 of the 4 songs are Who covers - Love Reign opens the encore and The Real Me. Alive then ends the first encore.
The second encore opens with The Needle And The Damage Done, which has only been played 3 times and this is the first time played since 1995. Rats, Supersonic, Smile, and a ripping Rearviewmirror are played before Mike sends everyone home with Yellow Ledbetter.
A good show and a decent boot. It's just a shame that quality of the 2009 boots are lacking, because there are a ton of great shows from that tour.

MSG 6/25/08. Been relistening to shows lately as my brain has been too preoccupied with TOUR to pick new shows to listen to. I really love this show. Great performance of all the songs. Rats really jumped out at me on this listen. You can really hear Boom jazzing it up on the keys. It's swingin' a little more than usual and was a fun twist on this kick ass song.
