Wait, who? Sting? I think sting was way more better and exciting in the ring then hogan ever was. I mean, let's be honest here, I saw hogan in the early 80's and his ring ability sucked. He had the same fight EVERY TIME LOL. Start off getting assed kicked after all the intro hoopla is over. Some how finds the strength to start a comeback, illegal poke to the eye, he goes down again. Gets ass kicked for another 5 mins then the crowd gives him second win. Oh forgot to add, almost passes out and lifts his hand right before it goes down for the 5th time lol. Gets up, kicks a little ass. Throws his opponent to the ropes, lifts his leg to the head, guy goes down, stares at the crowd and does his famous leg drop 1 2 3. Same fight next 30 years lol....DewieCox said:As an "icon" of wrestling he's probably pretty high on any list, but he's not amazing in the ring and not in the conversation as far a greatest talkers.

I'll give you that about Hogan, but he's so far beyond Sting on the mic. I think most wrestlers fall into a certain routine as how their matches unfold, eventually.
Hulkster was the classic over seller/superhero and was just bigger than life. I don't even really put him and Sting in the same league overall, but I also missed out on a lot of Sting's early work.0 -
I watched sting go from the uwf days to the nwa/wcw. Watched him his whole career till I stopped watching all together. He had great mic skills. He had a a awesome rivalry vs flair and flair pretty much made sting like the sheik made hogan if you know what I mean. Def agree with u about hogan and the mic, he just had no ring flow, nothing great. Always wanted to see sting in the wwe just to see how they'd use him but it never happened. He's like in his 50's I believe so his time is almost done. Brought back memories to my youth this thread did, lolDewieCox said:I'll give you that about Hogan, but he's so far beyond Sting on the mic. While I wouldn't put Hogan in the greatest technical wrestlers. He was pretty good. Sure he had the same routine. But I think for a big guy he did alright.I miss igotid880

It was really bad. Usos vs Wyatts was the only good match. The rest of the matches were sloppy and boring.eeriepadave said:Anyone watch Battleground on Sunday? Anyone know the deal with sharing passwords for WWE Network? I know Netflix and MLB.tv are pretty lax on that and I'm wondering if this is the same. I stopped watching wrestling about 10 years ago but I check in from time to time. I'd watch the PPVs but what I'm really interested in is the older stuff, especially past events that I attended (like Wrestlemania 10, King of the Ring 2001, Royal Rumble 2000, Summerslam 1998).severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

Yes on the floor in the center of MSG. My parents had a connection which I didnt realize how great the connection was at the time (I was only 8 but I remember the event vividly). I was a huge OWEN Hart fan, so the opening match was insane.Ledbetterman10 said:

That Clash Of Champions match with Flair back in the late 80s was spectacular. Sting had the ability to produce some great matches. He was given some questionable talent to work with though...Abdulllah the Butcher?

I think you can access the Network through 2 devices...that's about the same as Netflix. Netflix gives you the option to purchase more logins.SVRDhand13 said:Anyone know the deal with sharing passwords for WWE Network?
First thing I did with WWE Network was go back and watch all the PPV's the went to. First time I watched Wrestlemania III since I was in Pontiac back in '87.

I've watched that Bret/Owen match so many times I could probably recite Vince and King's commentary. If you watch it back, Owen actually wins the match like three times. In the middle of the match, Owen does that roll-up pin he used to do when he'd jump behind the guy putting his feet under the guy's armpits and holding down his shoulders (he won the Intercontinental title from Rock with that move years later). He CLEARLY pins Bret with it at WM10 midway through the match. Later in the match when Owen has Bret in the sharpshooter, Bret taps. Now, tapping didn't become a thing in the WWF until Shamrock arrived in '97....but still. And then obviously there's the real pin at the end.SVRDhand13 said:

I'm not saying he did this on purpose, but I think ADR has wanted out of WWE for quite a while. Everything I read said it had to do with some sort of racist remark by another employee.eeriepadave said:Alberto Del Rio released from his contract due to "unprofessional misconduct"
