I remember watching an outside the ring about them. Crazy stuff.  I think they all dies before 26?
Kerry died at 33. The youngest died at 2. Kevin is still alive. That's who Zac Efron is playing.
Yes I knew one was still alive.  Didn't realize one made it to 33.

Crazy that the father outlived them all.  The Von Eric Curse!

Kevin has two sons who wrestle in the independent scene. And Kerry's daughter. Lacey, wrestled for a little while in TNA and WWE.

Crazy that few of the sons committed suicide. One died when he was an infant. Dad died when he was like 70.

Punk's back in WWE! I know the rumors were strong that he was returning tonight at Survivor Series. I was still kinda surprised, Main event ended then Punk's music hit and the crowd welcomed him which I was also kinda surprised by.

Why would you be surprised the crowd would welcome him? They were chanting his name all night

I was out for most of the night and only caught the last 15-20 minutes of the main event. Also I didn't think a lot people/fans wanted him back in the WWE.

they were doing that for like the past 5 years after he left WWE in '14. Well let's see if he lasts longer in WWE than AEW. I know most fans didn't care for his second run in AEW (including me).

Probably a combination of being a work and having real issues (Kinda like when Edge and Matt Hardy had issues about 15 years ago). They'll probably face each other at Royal Rumble or Wrestlemania next year would be my guess.

got about 2 minutes in to his promo. blech. I know I haven't really been a wrestling fan since before his time in WWE, but I think I can spot a good promo, I just can't dig him. his "realness" I find nauseating. what's the draw of this guy?

  • I rarely tune into Raw, but I did last night to check out Punk. Expected him at the beginning, like they would've done in the 90's. But no, Randy Orton (the remedy for insomnia) comes out instead, and I couldn't reach for the remote control fast enough. I watched Punk's promo on the shitter this morning. Seems to be headed towards Punk versus Rollins, which would be a good program for Royal Rumble or WrestleMania. Both in the ring and on the mic.

Today marks an important anniversary in our nation's history. It was 40 years ago today that Hulk Hogan beat The Iron Sheik to win the title, and kickstart Hulkamania.

40 years. Damn. Which he had a different finishing move so he wouldn't have had to get hip replacement and back surgeries. Probably could have wrestled another 10 years.

I don't know how I feel about the Netflix deal? 10 years. Possibly longer if after 5 years Netflix extends it another 10.

Yeah he mentioned that he didn't like his finishing move and said he should have used something with his arms instead since he had the 24" pythons like a full nelson or backbreaker.

Yeah he mentioned that he didn't like his finishing move and said he should have used something with his arms instead since he had the 24" pythons like a full nelson or backbreaker.
I’ve heard him sat he wished he did a sleeper, which is similar enough to a full-nelson as far as what the person executing the move has to do.

I always felt a powerslam would’ve been a good finisher for him. But you can’t do that to everyone (Andre for example). That’s why the legdrop was such a good finisher. Same with the stunner…you can do it to anybody.

yeah, sleeper is too anti climactic (except for Million Dollar Dream-the way DiBiase executed it was way better than any other sleeperhold-it was more violent). never liked it as a finisher much. It's almost better utilized as a non-finisher (the dramatics of the one in the hold lifting/keeping their arm up on the 3rd go). I like the immediacy/shock value of the DDT or rock bottom or stunner or "PPV/desperation" HBK superkick. with hogan and the leg drop, you knew he'd never miss. and he would always get the 3. as absurd a finishing move as it was (like the people's elbow). it was the perfect arc to the 80's style super-face wrestling match.
