or in addition to the vault program? We get 1 vault a year, be sad to use it on a reissue :(
I think more people would be thrilled than upset. It preserves the original and allows this to be a new release of it. Heck say it was remastered by XYZ and its even more different than the original.

I'm not saying don't do that, I'm saying do it as a separate release. Vaults are few and far between. So much unreleased stuff out there, I'd rather vaults get used on releasing things we don't already have in high quality soundboard quality.
I'd think the OG copies of Give Way are the same value next week as they were last week.
I'd also think Pearl Jam would make absolute bank if they did the right thing.
I doubt it... lol. I guess you have to wait until the next one goes on discogs or ebay, but when something goes from being the only game in town, to alternatives, the value generally drops. Not to rock bottom, but it does.
In regards to Benaroya. I think it's ok if they do a re-released, but I also think it's possible they never do. They did advertise it as a limited run when it came out (unlike other stuff that was only in short supply because very few people bought records in the 90s/00s). When they wrote that the whole , just issue a variant thing, wasn't a thing. So I'm thinking they might of meant for it to be limited.
You never know. When push comes to shove the band and it's label can reissue whatever it wants. It's not like there's some hard/fast law against doing so

Yes indeed.
