Wanna see something scary, read this article from today's news site, it shows how big Yasi is compared to the USA, Europe, and Asia...

    Holy f**kballs!!! :o  :(

That is just . . . unimaginable, inconceivable, unbelievable! My Waffle, there just aren't enough adjectives to adequately describe it. As one person said in the comments, "My thoughts & prayers are with all those people, pets, wildlife & beautiful places that lay in the path of this monster!"

i think it was called "the bus that couldn't slow down"

looks epicly scary up there. the news is really starting to shit me. today they crossed to the kay mcgrath, the brisbane anchorlady, she was in cairns, and she gave us a tour of her hotel room telling us she had food and water. umm ok thanks. then they cross to some other reporter standing on the street in one of the small towns, Sharon the anchor lady says "is there anyone still in the town?" reporter: "no, just me everyone has been evacuated." again, ok thanks for that, maybe you should get the fuck out of there too. then they come back to the newsroom with sharon who says "on the phone now we have my mum and dad from *some town*, mum how are things there" then sharon and mum and dad crap on for a while.

like really? fucking report some news you stupid fucks. i wish the news was actually about news and not about ratings.

    end rant.

    stay safe everyone.

Hey Ziggy and everyone else in NQ, take care tonight, be safe and I'm sure everyone here will be thinking of you.

Suppose there is no better time to start praying than now.

Gosh it's freaking huge bitch coming, I'll be on my tea break at work at the time it's supposed to hit.....

What else to say, I don't know, but thoughts are with you.

Whenever I see newscasters out in the storm, putting themselves in danger- just for ratings, is really stupid. It would be safer just to hook up a camera and capture the storm without putting yourself at risk.

I hope all is well with you Ziggy- and everyone else hit by the storm

OK well I've just come home from work it is 2.42am Queensland time.....and the radio reports not good at all. Town of Tully has been anihilated, and Yasi is crossing the coast for the second time. So not good. This is one evil bastard.

Even a good pair of PJ socks might not have enough mojo to make this one pass.

I am a tad stressed out as my friends brother lives up there......and no way to find out how they are fairing.

Then there are the idiots that will always appear....a bunch of 60yo's called emergency services to come and help them.....idiots how much notice do you need, and how hard has the message been the past few days....GET OUT.....some people need a good slap around the chops.

thanks for the link to the Herald Sun.

Holy Fuck is right. I had no idea that this was such a huge monster. We have only been getting weather reports about the winter storm that is crossing the US and making things 'difficult'. Your situation is clearly devastating following last months rain, yet our media will give it 10 seconds during the international hour...

    Hold on, be safe.
