I think credit cards speed things up. Swipe, sign and done. No more counting out change and stuff. Am I the minority on that one?
Unless the card readers are dial-up, then I can see the delay.
Everything is moving to pin #'s now. Most places I saw required people to use chip&pin. Plus they might of been on dialup, because it would take 20 to 30 seconds for the machine to complete the transaction. Nowhere near as quick as handing a guy 80 bucks for $70 worth of stuff and having a 10 handed back.

my favorite is trying on 3-5 t-shirts on.....while everyone waits behind you.

This instantly makes me want to slap that person.
Seriously? You didn't just wait in that line up... understand how slow things are... understand how chaotic things are... and now you don't know what t-shirt size you are and stop the operation so you can try things on?
"I've waited for my turn and now it's my turn. F**k everyone. I don't care. I wanna try on a medium, a large, and then an extra large in the hopes of finding a t-shirt that covers my muffin top when I do the overhead clap tonight during my favourite song."
Is there a difference between Capitol One presale and the FF mailing list presale for Wrigley? If so, I may have to quickly apply for a Capitol One card, unless the old lady has one. Then she can just add me as an authorized user I would imagine.

@buck502000 Right, but I'm talking specifically about the Wrigley show, as the Capitol One presale and the mailing list presale times appear to be the same, while all other dates have the Capitol One presale 4 days earlier.
@CopperTom I'm surprised I could remember someone from that far back! Great site indeed! I posted as Ralph Wiggum there, I do believe.
So the only way to gain pre-sale access is with a valid Capital One card? My buddy sent me a pre-sale code, but it's 7 characters, including letters. That differs from what the website says, which is the first 6 digits of your Capital One card. Different pre-sale dates as well. It's pretty confusing.
That's why I was wondering. The FSKY*** is seven, so I'm wondering if there are 2 presales or how it will work. They both say they start on 11/6 at 10am though.
I'm pretty sure there are two different presales, Capital One and then the fan presale. I was able to get GA tix through the Capital One presale the last time I tried for tix so hoping to be as successful this go round.
Whatever the case, it sucks if a Capital One card is needed. I don't have one and likely wouldn't get it in time for the 11/6 pre-sale if I apply tomorrow. It won't keep me from trying though
This capital one presale is worthless. First it only had lawn seats, then every time I got tix and tried to check out they dropped them. Over and over. I hate the ticket buying experience so much
love you people but I really think the FFs are waaaaaaaaay overrated.

^^^ Not just you. They haven't had a decent album since Echoes in 2007. I'm going because I enjoyed their first 10 years and with all the rock stars dying lately, I'm not taking any chances missing shows anymore. I didn't go to Petty last summer because we had several other concerts planned. Should have went.
Also, I can't sell my GA Sioux Falls tickets on TM. I'm assuming the band put a stop to just the selling of GA since bowl tickets are for sale there. So bottom line, you Wrigley folks will have less competition now since I don't need to see them twice on the same tour.

Sort of. I love the first two albums front to back (S/T and The Color and The Shape). Then the albums after that there's a few songs I like on each album. Wasting Light was the first album I loved front to back since The Colour and the Shape. The last two albums it's back to being a few songs on each album I like.
That still leaves me with a tonne of songs I like. They might not be the rare kind of band that has the songs to mix up setlists every night, but they're still a pretty good live band with a pretty long greatest hits kind of setlist (like Metallica, U2 etc....). I think the Foo's are really good live.
That's my thoughts.
edit: One other thing that bugs me is how overproduced many of their songs sound. All sorts of effect's on Grohl's vocals and the sound of the band. I think they sound better on the songs where that stuff is toned down. It's probably why they sound better live too.

Exactly my thoughts too.
Got tickets to see them in London next year. Will be my first time seeing them live.
Got lower pavilion for Indy. If you're just getting lawn keep trying. That's all I was getting at first.

Slap.
That's the terminology used on the Foos site for Wrigley. That can't mean only Chicago cardholders, can it?

And they won't allow selling of GA on the TM resale site. I was thinking of selling them since I'd rather do Wrigley, but I guess I'm going!
For Wrigley.
I have a Capital One card and will try for 4 GA tickets - will probably need only 2.
